It would be nice if just once when one of these incidents occurred the media just played it straight and reported what really happened
Because the two white dudes did act stupidly. You could report it completely straight and portray that with no problem
But the media can't help itself and has to go all in on the racist angle and the innocent black kid just minding his own business angle
and then all of The usual suspects jump on the same silliness

You just put your finger on the crux of the problem, the media's dishonest reporting exasperates an issue yet again. I'm not going to get into the legal points because I'm not qualified but the media is not helping things at all and it seems to be on purpose

Eh its pretty darn close. They had to have witnessed it or had immediate knowledge. According to McMichael, he just saw someone jogging and planned to confront him because there had been several break ins recently. Does that seem like he had immediate knowledge of a felony?

I don't know what this changes for me. You call the police and let them handle it, and you certainly don't escalate the situation.

The media is no doubt trying to make this a race issue like they always do. I'm not sure if that's true or not.
IMO, I think this probably has more to do with these two guys being hot heads. They were looking for confrontation.

Nothing justifies the video. Trying to defend it makes folks look worse.
