AI Video is Getting Really Good, Hollywood Doesn't Have Long

Hollywood will be obsolete at this rate and it won't take very long. This video is outstanding for something someone threw together at the house on the internet. I see this technology as a bit of a blessing and a curse. It just became much easier to create a shitload of good propaganda. The deepfake technology will also soon be indistinguishable from real video. This feels like potentially a really tough problem for our society to solve.

This is how we defeat the demoncrats. By making conservative films using AI.

You know they'll be doing it.

Yeah this is still shite arse slop. Just b/c it looks slightly better due to using a real movie to try and hide it doesn't change that their faces and mouths look like total shite when the lines get changed.

We are at the point where the only real limitation on the ubiquitous presence of AI is the amount of energy it requires.

What’s your favorite Elliot Page role?

The last movie I watched that came out of there was Top Gun: Maverick. And before that it had been years since I had watched any new movies. It seems like that town doesn't have much longer at this rate. The AI capability has grown very quickly. Imagine where it'll be in just a couple more years.

Right. It's kind of wild to see the government embrace it so openly. Give it another couple of years and it'll be, as you said, ubiquitous. And it will be very good.

Yes we do. We are living through a very pivotal moment in history, for several reasons. I pray for us to have the presence of mind to navigate it with enough wisdom to not enslave ourselves or otherwise wipe ourselves off the planet.

This is legit going to challenge the modern relevance of the first amendment.

Idiot. AI gets a generation better like every 12 days but you think you won because you can still see the difference.
Good luck with that. Computers are a fad like CB radios.

Right. I thought about replying but didn't figure it was worth taking the time to point out to him that I never claimed it has arrived. It seems obvious that at the rate it is progressing it won't be long until it's as good or better than what you see out of Hollywood.

Did you see the crappy CGI in The Mandalorian? It’s not like the studios are putting out a good product.
