IDK and neither do you nor does anyone else.
My guess would be that he was scared of being detained because he had prior convictions.
Getting caught would have meant an automatic ticket back to prison for Arbery.
Watch some of those Live PD episodes and you will see people do extremely stupid stuff when being pulled over or questioned by the police.
The fact of the matter is that Arbery was the aggressor in this incident and he paid for it with his life.
Look man, I hate the guy got killed as much as anyone else but sometimes people bring bad things on themselves and this was just another example of that

This is everyday business in my world and I'm indifferent to the emotional aspects of such matters. And I certainly don't mean that in any boastful type of way. It's actually a net negative in my opinion. Anyhow, the on-the-ground reality of most of this type stuff is much less exciting than our discussion and debate on this forum. Probably 85% of the specific issues we're all discussing would most likely be excluded from mention in the actual trial of this case.

It doesn’t really matter. Which makes it odd that people slowed down video that seemed to show boots and then yell “Timbalands!! Zomg!” And then they ignored obvious video of him not wearing boots.

Nah. You cant brandish a shotgun at someone and call the person responding defensively to it the aggressor. That’s the main fact of the matter why these 2 dudes are going to the pen.

This is patently false, when we see Arbery approaching the vehicle Travis is outside the vehicle near the driver's side door, we see Arbery (likely upon seeing the shotgun) make a hard right and go around the passenger side of the vehicle, once the camera refocuses both men are moving from the middle front of the vehicle meaning Travis HAD to move toward Arbery, and by the time you see Arbery lurching, at least on shot has already been fired.
Murder.

The entire point of Jr and Sr being there in the first place was to pursue and confront running man. I'd say it's a tough sell for them to assert that they were just minding their own business chilling, when all of a sudden runner came in hot at them like a waubanchee.

By the letter of the law, if the victim charged them without reasonable fear for his life they would be guilty of voluntary manslaughter under Georgia law and not murder.
But the chances they don’t do some prison time in any scenario are very low.

If you try to avoid said person and he cuts off your means of egress with said shotgun pointed at you, you feel you have no choice but to try and take the weapon away, no?
