The McMichaels had a right to detain him. The involvement of the gun is problematic.
But the heightened sense of this case is only because some dumbass lied and said he was out jogging.
Same song and same verse as Michael Brown "hand's up, don't shoot"
To this day both of the lies will be on repeat forever, even when proven absolutely 100% false. If you have to lie to bolster your case, you lose any person that applies common sense and self responsibility.
At best, you got the shooter on manslaughter.

How do you prove intent? If my wife and I were walking around a new conduction home in our subdivision and a nosy neighbor called the cops do you think would be charged with a felony.? We live in Georgia.

You could be detained and questioned based on you trespassing. If things were missing from the property, it would be reasonable to consider you a possible suspect.

You would not be charge nor convicted.

Did Arbery drive there with his wife?
Would you haul arse like a bat out of hell the millisecond you saw a neighbor on the phone looking at you?

You could for trespassing if the owner wanted or desired you to be.
OR, if you simply stayed on the public street, and out of others personal property, you would face nothing from police or neighbors.
Pretty simple concept. But again, you have to understand the concept of SELF-RESPONSIBILITY and CONSEQUENCES.
Liberals only understand excuses

I saw a funny episode of cops of some dude running from police for like 5 or 6 city blocks. Once the cops caught up with him he said he wasn't running from police, he was running from a bee because he has a bee alergy.
You'd be one of the retards believing him.

Yeah, calling the police always seems to work great. They show up immediately and put lots of effort into solving small theft crimes. Get the frick out of here.
Your two choices are let thieves steal what they want or stop them yourself. The media and Democrats are trying to make it illegal to do the latter.

I notice you never addressed the lie I called you out on this morning. Care to now?

The problem here is that much of the defense of the McMichaels is almost a reaction to people trying to make Arbery a saint (which is also stupid).
100%
And that’s understandable.

You seem to notice a lot of things that are not grounded in reality.

So you are not going to address the lie I called you out on?

To all the morons in this thread:
What those people did was awful.
A guy jogging looked in a construction site.
The perps chased after him, circled around him and pulled weapons on him.
He (legally) tried to defend himself and attempted to grab the weapon.
They killed him.
The fact that people think those morons did nothing wrong blows my mind.
They will be convicted and rightfully so.

Yeah, they’re toast.
A lot of conservatives I know think this will be a slam dunk acquittal. They’re wrong.

And if you say they were in the wrong on this board you get called a liberal. Insanity.

I wonder how many people saying McMichaels needs to go to jail also watch videos of criminals stealing and assaulting innocent people while thinking, "Why is everyone just standing around filming?"
Posted on 10/7/21 at 11:16 am to TenWheelsForJesus
These people are witnessing a crime though. The McMichaels did not.

Also note that the McMichaels didn't witness any crime. Yet the grabbed their guns and chased a guy around the neighborhood and attempted to hold him at gunpoint.

Keep in mind, cops wouldn’t have done what those idiots did.
