A). They cannot possibly know that he had "no criminal history", and
B). There's a high likelihood that, being from Afghanistan where it gets ridiculously sectarian, turbid and violent, that he's likely done some shite, even if out of absolute necessity for survival.
He's damn sure gonna catch a record now though.
