A plane traveling 500 mph goes 7 miles in 30 seconds

Check your math.
500mph / 60min/hrs = 8.33 miles per minute.
4.16 miles in 30 seconds.

A Spirit plane is certain to be about 85% Dem. And the other 15% are on their first and last Spirit flight.

Last trip on the way to airport we told our kids we were flying Spirit to Bahamas.

Both said turn around we’d rather stay home.

Again? I heard this earlier this week? Not being a smart arse. I’m really asking if this is the same incident or did it happen a second time.

I think this happened a day or two, maybe three ago.

Here is my question: when AF1 and AF2 are flying to the same place, do they fly in close proximity? Not necessarily in formation.

When two planes are going like 500 mph each.. that’s a very short distance. I’m not a pilot but I have enough common sense to know that this is very close - way too close.

What about the other plane at the same speed flying towards the Spirit plane?

I’m sorry. You said 7 or 8 MILES?

This is maybe my 10th post on the OT, so it wasn’t me. But I’m not surprised, there are thousands of shorts on YT & TikTok highlighting the subhuman sky vessel known as Spirit Airlines.

Context is key here. Got within 8 miles, was on a collision course and was not responding to repeated hails by FAA ATC to adjust course.

I'm not a pilot, but is 8 miles "almost hitting a plane"?

If the planes were headed towards each other, that's 28.8 seconds to turn two very large planes and make sure they aren't also turning in the same direction.

Yes.. that's very unsafe.

Kind of like I almost got hit by a clown car yesterday.

I mean, it was in the next county, but still.
