Same words. Different intent.

So it’s your belief that the team of folks who craft his monologue, who themselves are writers and literally hired because of their grasp and mastery of the English language failed to realize that his statement implied the shooter was a right wing militant lunatic?

Really?

What makes more sense? Jimmy Kimmel said a statement meant to show those on the right as the bad guys and unreasonable as he does all night every night, OR he and his staff engaged in clever wordplay that left those on the right totally blameless in the murder of Charlie Kirk?

Wrong

Kimmel said, "The MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it."

I've underlined the subject and the subjective pronouns in the quoted sentence - none of which refer to Kirk or the killer.

They [Magatards] were, indeed, desperately trying to characterize the murderer as anything other then what they are, and trying to score political points from it. This can still be true even if the murderer was a liberal and not a Magatard at all.

We have to fight like mad so that the truth isn’t buried. That’s because your side lies and has had control of the information for so long.

TV Stations apparently did not like his wording PLUS his ratings were in the shitter = Why several TV Stations dropped him from their line-up...thus causing Disney to take action.

Correct, his ratings have been dreadfully dismal. Rumor has been out there that Disney will cut him loose when his contract expires next year. This just gives Disney an out by blaming Kimmel for his own demise.

Another valid interpretation, though, is that he was criticizing the right for basically coming up with any narrative they could as long as it denied even the possibility that he was MAGA.

But the shooter was NOT MAGA and this was verifiable at the time Kimmel said this.

I don't really have a side as I agree with Washington when it comes to party politics.

However, I have been reading the Trump supporters lie about what Kimmel said.

Kimmel should feel fortunate. What he said (or didn’t say) only cost him his job…..not his life.
I am curious to see if he remains the host of his new gameshow. That idiot just alienated half the country, and lost his main gig. He just Bud Lighted his self.

Kimmel made fun of the right doggedly advancing the logical interpretation of the available evidence, which was that Kirk was killed by a leftist.

Do you agree that’s what he was doing?

For debate purposes - Since when does misinformation get you kicked off the air?

When it has been PROVEN that the misinformation fed to the masses is wholeheartedly believed by at least 1/3 of the country, thereby causing the believers to desire harm, violence, and or death upon rest of the country.

“Nazis, fascists, threat to democracy, king, dictator, white supremacists, homophobes, etc etc etc”

Their audience whole heartedly believes their propaganda, and innocent people are now being killed because of it.

We are not the dangerous ones. We are not the fascists. We are not the Nazis. We are not the dictators. We are not a threat to democracy.

THEY have become what they claim they fear and despise, but they are too brainwashed to see it. Why? Because they don’t self evaluate. Why? Because the mockingbird media tells them all they need to know. Lies.

Do you understand now?

Do you see now that we are at “since when”?

Professors and school teachers— preK, elementary, middle, and highschool — all across the country are literally celebrating a campus shooting.

We are beyond “since when”. The Rubicon has been crossed. They have shown themselves.

The comparison here is between the murderer and MAGAs.

It is clearly saying that the murderer and MAGAs are the same.

Why did anyone on the MAGA side have to fight to correct the identity of the shooter? Your argument is implying that people on the right should have just quietly stood by while the left crafted their own false narrative about the shooter.

Dispelling the left's lies and false narratives isn't trying to win political points, its just about making sure the truth gets out about the shooter.

Not only did Kimmel lie in the first part, but in the 2nd part of his comment he basically was saying - They don't care that Kirk was killed, they are just using it for political points.

He knew, at the time of that monologue, that the kid was not maga. he's just trying to shift the narrative away from the fact that his party is celebrating political assassination.
