This probably means Barr will hold it until after the election and hope that Trump loses so the incoming Dem administration can pardon everyone. I have zero faith in anyone not named Donald Trump.

I've been looking back on that moment and the Comey firing for a while now and it has made me come to the conclusion as to why I believe that while Sessions recusal was not necessary, that was not what led to Mueller being appointed like the President claims.
It was the Comey firing and his complete mishandling of it and his contradiction of Rosenstein and White House staff as to why he fired Comey.

He just fired James Comey in the most ham fisted way possible and point blank told the world in the interview with NBC he fired Comey because of Russia with absolutely no nuance to it possible. Just blurted out Russia.
