This is the face of the JAG Officer who would gleefully prosecute a soldier/sailor for a "warcrime" made in the heat of combat and brag about it in the bar for Happy Hour.

I know nothing people do should surprise me but I'm dumbfounded by the amount of people who put themselves in situations like this by positing stupid/controversial things on X, Facebook etc... There are a lot of idiots out there.

This is an endemic problem throughout government and I believe post Obama/Biden in the military.
We have an entire generation of hires who see their role through the lens of a political operative.
Whether its the woman at the FBI investigating Catholics for going to Latin mass or the guy at the IRS going after GOP registered voters their job function is secondary to their role as a leftist advancing the movement.
We cannot have a strong federal government run by people who see anyone who doesn't vote like them as fascists, it either ends in totalitarian government or kinetic violence.
