Absolute shite show: 12,000 mail ballots invalidated in a race with 3k margin. NY primary

But 12k+ absentees out of 65k+ cast were invalidated (mostly for being late/lacking postmark) and I still don't see new results posted by an official source.

It will come up during the debates. When Biden claims vote by Mail works, Trump needs to throw this example and these numbers back at him.

Its because people have no idea how any of these systems work. Paper ballots are a terrible idea when used as the sole means of voting in any given district or state. Even if there are no bad intentions, it's just too easy to set aside a box in the wrong pile or lose one and be out a thousand votes.
Let's not also forget how "outstanding" the post office is in this country. There are too many issues with pure paper ballots and thats before you factor in purposeful fraud.
