However, did or did not Abe overstep his boundaries by encroaching on other states rights

I have mostly heard a white washed version (Lincoln and North Good and Lee and South bad). I really don't know, but I would imagine there is a little more nuance than that general consensus. I am far from some Confederate sympathizer though, just curious. I hear alot about Lincoln opening Pandoras box allowing the Progressive era to take root early 20th century.
Read Lincoln Uber Alles. It will show you the type of person he was.

I think Eventually slavery would have ended, but the south was not trending that way anytime soon
And that’s second part is bullshite. The South seceded mostly because of slavery. No legitimate scholar will pretend otherwise.

Saying it was about the ability to own slaves without examining the fiscal ramifications is low-level analysis.
Read the letters of secession and get back to me. All this nonsense about the war not being about slavery is post-war revisionist bullshite.

Let me ask you a question: if slavery had never existed in North America, would the South have had any reason to secede? The whole reason the North industrialized and the South remained agricultural is due to the fact that slavery worked best in that kind of environment. Without slavery, you get an industrialized South and you don't see things like the Missouri Compromise, the Tariff of 1828, the Wilmot Proviso, the Compromise of 1850, the Kansas-Nebraska Act, etc.

I'm not going to try to justify the civil war one way or the other and besides the biggest mistake of all was made after it was over. They should have commissioned a bunch of ships and ran regular routes right back to Africa. We are still paying the price for them not doing so, especially the inner cities

The civil war was never about states rights. that is what the KKK and democrats used during reconstruction to reframe the civil war as to make it seem to be an unjust war.
You should really take some history lessons. Or somewhere besides some liberal cuck school not in the northeast or Cali....

The Civil War started even before we had a United States. The Puritans originally had planned to come to Virginia. A storm blew them off course and they wound up at what would become Massachusetts. If they had landed in Virginia most likely Virginia (and maybe the rest of the South) would not have had slavery. Prior to the Revolution many ministers spoke out against slavery in the northern colonies. After the Revolution the slavery issue gave our Founding Fathers problems in the writing of the Constitution. The Abolition Movement only grew stronger during the early 1800s and became a raging movement during the 1850s with John Brown and Bleeding Kansas. This movement put pressure on Pres. Buchanan and Lincoln, sounds similar to what is happening today with Antifa/BLM/ and the ProRegressives. McCormick and his mechanical reaper would have eneded slavery in the 1880s. The northern bankers and industrialist were taking advantage of the agricultural South, much like how Chyna is taking economic advantage of the USA today. What is to happen?

Would the Confederate states had inevitably been overtaken by France or England if they were left to their own? So was it ultimately the right move?
Had they been able to defeat the Northern Invaders?
It took the North a very hard fought 4 years. No way in Hell a foreign invasion force would have been successful.
The North only won because they were able to cut supply lines and out-produce the South.

If the South became industrialized sure, probably would have taken longer

It literally started because of slavery. The South wanted to leave because a law regarding new states becoming free states. The slave owners in the South saw the writing on the wall and tried to leave.

I think the mistake occurred well before it started...if we’re going back in time and doing it over.

What's all this? You have an essay to write?

The Creator, like all our other unalienable rights. People have the right to self-determination. There is no such thing as an indestructible union. If you believe that states can't secede, then you have to believe that the US had no right to separate from England.
The US didn't have a 'right' to separate from England. That's why there was a war over the issue.
