Then it’s obvious you know zero about Louisiana politics and voting trends.

I whole heartedly believe this is a big part of the problem. The moochers are reproducing at a higher rate than the producers.

Population makeup doesn't matter anymore.

The days of true and fair elections are dead and gone.

The entire racial narrative of white v black is a distraction from the real issue which is Hispanics are going to take over the political clout from the blacks because the blacks are so distracted with the faux white supremacy story. It’s working exactly as planned.

As for the democgraphics JP is older housing stock which is trending down while the newer housing stock is in St Tammany which is why it is growing at record numbers right now.

The good news to a certain extent is the Democrats cannot control the Hispanic population like they control the black demographic. The Democrat Party has better control over Central American immigrants than they do Cuban and South American immigrants. Democrats will also struggle to keep Hispanics voting Democrat after generation one. Subsequent generations will gravitate to the Republicans simply based on the fact that Hispanics are culturally socially conservative and have good work ethic and will vote to pay less taxes and keep more of their wages.

Republicans failed to put up a serious candidate for governor. Rispone was from the donor class and Abraham had to be pulled kicking and screaming into yhe election. People are not going to simply vote Republican because of the R after their name

Certainly not in Louisiana where a white, possibly rural, socially conservative (pro-life, pro-2nd amendment public stances) Democrat can be appealing to your rural white voters who grew up Democrats (maybe or may not have changed their registration) but typically now vote "R" for Presidential and Congressional elections.

Regardless of the trend in Jefferson Parish, (which, like suburban counties throughout America, is voting more mainstream in recent elections), we can agree Rispone was a terrible candidate, possibly worse than Vitter 2015.

I would imagine that St. Tammany’s numbers will eventually be trending purple as well. Sadly, many of the transplants aren’t nearly as conservative as you may believe.

that's mostly South Slidell, but it's also a lot of older transplants.

St. Tammany used to be called the "Ozone Belt" and there were hotels and such in Abita Springs. there's a reason some nice restaurants are located in Mandeville. it could remind you of places in California.

If you pay attention, the Hispanic population thoughout Jefferson has exploded and it is mostly Central Americans. It has been going on for 25 years(at least). I would venture to think that Jefferson will be Democrat in 10 - 15 years with a Hispanic Parish President or possibly sherriff. The money shift has already begun to St. Tammany as has population. Go up and down 1077 and 1085. The development is crazy....and along 22 towards Ponchatoula. It's all former West Bankers
