Not a joke. There was a thread here a few weeks ago talking about this and how the contestant from Spain was the favorite to win it all. Not sure how they came to that conclusion, other than the media wanting a win for the trannies, but that's what they were reporting.
If you do a search on Miss Universe 2018, you'll find just as many articles on "Miss Spain" as you will the winner.

The leader of the Ottoman Empire back in the 1600s (can't remember his name) is depicted in art as having a harem of white women. Some thought that the European artists were injecting their own racism. I hate to derail the thread in this way.........but, isn't it interesting that in a nation that is far and away, MUCH blacker than this group, they STILL consider the lighter girls to be prettier?
Here, it would get blamed on white racism. What's their excuse?
