Anyone familiar? First I have heard of this.

Never heard of it. I asked Grok:

quote:

"Cob" (sometimes stylized as COB) is a street name for a dangerous, unregulated synthetic cannabinoid found in vape products, particularly in parts of Mississippi as of mid-2026.

wjtv.com

It is not a single specific chemical but refers to vape juice or cartridges containing synthetic cannabinoids (lab-made chemicals designed to mimic THC, the psychoactive compound in cannabis). Law enforcement has identified an active ingredient as PINACA (a Schedule I controlled substance, part of the broader family of synthetic cannabinoids like those in older "Spice" or "K2" products).

1. "Cob" (Synthetic Cannabinoid)What it is: An illegal, unregulated liquid vape juice often sold to youth. The DEA classifies it as a potent synthetic cannabinoid (PINACA) that binds more strongly to brain receptors than natural cannabis.Effects: Highly unpredictable, causing severe paranoia, hallucinations, seizures, and brief psychotic episodes.Safety: Because it is entirely unregulated, users do not know what chemicals they are putting into their bodies. For comprehensive details on the risks of lab-made substances, review the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

Texaco merged with Chevron a long time ago. I haven't seen a Texaco sign in 20 years.

I just assumed it would be used for bail, lawyers, hookers, blow, chains, and grills.

I was expecting exactly this sentiment to be expressed here. Overt racism, apologizing for what is alleged to be premeditated murder. Stupid frick is probably waiting to see if the murderer is good enough to play for Georgia before he forms an opinion on the matter.

It's like that comedian said recently, if trans people want rights in this country, they just need to find a way to field a football team capable of beating Alabama. As the movie Remember the Titans has shown, going 4-0 in high school football can change an entire towns opinion from not wanting the blackies in their school to calling them their brothers.

Well, you know he'd be the kind of player that would always be ready to murder the other team.

I guess they weren't that close.
