the scare tactics being used on ignorant AF people from Fleming proxies just pisses me off. We've been putting CO2 into the ground for EOR with CO2 pipelines across the state for at least 40 years but somehow its dangerous now.
I agree there.
Fleming campaign made CCSU a central part of their campaign, but they ignorantly took the wrong angle. Instead of the fiscal/tax dollar angle, they good the Bucket Brigade fear mongering angle.
Buddy of mine who is a D&C superintendent has some property in Vernon Parish that’s near one of these sequestration projects. He doesn’t like it and doesn’t want it because of the tax dollars floating it. But he finds himself trying to educate some of his neighbors on the scare tactics stuff about CO2 migration and ruining the water table.

EOR is considered CCS.
EOR is CS (carbon sequestration) because it's taking CO2 and putting it into the ground. That act of putting it into the ground is what qualifies it for the credits, but in this it is serving an actual productive purpose. Sequestration programs just for "climate change" do nothing but get carbon credits.
That said, the O&G industry was profitable long before these credits existed, having them does nothing but make their profits increase more, get them addicted to the credits and put the federal government deeper in debt (since Congress can't seem to stop deficit spending).

There are mineral rights to be had, along with payment for ROW.
A lot of people in that area are dependent on government. The payola wouldn't bother them, so it is the scare tactics.

I completely agree with that, but that won't bother those dependent on government. Scare tactics are the only way to get their ignorant AF votes.

The campaign is nothing but a shitshow, IMO.
Too bad Miguez dropped out.

While you are correct in what you are saying she is going to win fairly easily because our state has a lot of ignorant voters.

The voters targeted by Fleming to vote for is the correct answer.

Fleming now has his dept employees commenting on social media. I'm wondering if he also had a DE Duct box installed.

A live open debate needs to take place.
Fleming came on and spoke on the Walton and Johnson show. Did Letlow?
She claims to want to do a radio only debate on Moon's show.
She is barely a one term congresswoman.
Letlow is spending a butt load of TV commercial money to sling mud at Fleming. Where is all that Cash coming from ?
I fear she will be another Mary Landrieu or Lindsay Boggs .
Louisiana deserves and should demand better.

I early-voted for Flemming the other day.

Admittedly memory here is not what it used to be, but didn't Cassidy refuse to debate his opponents during his last.....not recent ... election campaign? It's a political common practice, for better or worse, for the leader in an election to not take any risk in exposing him/ herself to public attacks. No real fan of either but, based on his age, her opponent will more than likely only serve one ter due to his age??

We would probably be better off with her resigning and having Jeff Landry appoint himself.
Biggest issue with that is that then you're left with Gov. Billy Nungesser.

Hey, it’s not like he can cancel the Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion a second time!

You are going to screw around like Georgia and wind up with a Democrat senator, congrats!

What's interesting is that the democrat frontrunner is a pro-gun, pro-border enforcement, farmer from N. Louisiana.

An Advocate article in the hard copy newspaper just yesterday said polling by a major Letlow supporter shows Fleming ahead. The Central City News has the hard copy version posted on Facebook, while the Advocate online version has been edited to remove that part of the report. Remember, the Advocate already endorsed Letlow.

I have a really hard time believing that. Fleming didn’t even win caddo parish. He only outpaced letlow in Webster parish by 500 votes which of the 500 votes for Cassidy in the primary went to letlow she would be him in his home parish.
This is coming from someone who thought the first round would have been A LOT closer than it was and was expecting frankly for Fleming to potentially beat her

Yes.
I just know this because Fleming supporters complained on here about them being easy on her.
