A hunter will shoot an illegal in South Texas this hunting season

A buddy of mine was hunting on their lease this weekend and had illegals and border agents all over. Their lease is Managed Lands Deer Program, so this was their opening rifle weekend. They usually drop a lot of animals and donate most of the meat. All their members spend about 10K year on this lease; it has produced some nice bucks and great hunts.
They have always had some illegal activity, but nothing like they experienced this weekend. While they were hunting, a helicopter was flying low over the property, border agents were driving through, and agents were on foot tracking illegals. They also watched illegals run through from time to time. One border agent stopped at the blind and talked with the hunters; this agent was down from Ohio to try and help.
These guys have been hunting this property for years. It is the least number of animals they have seen or killed and the most illegal activity they have experienced. They also started to have a conversation about when to shoot with varying opinions.
It’s going to get ugly when rifle season opens across South Texas.

Non game animal but on the "protected" list. You must use steel shot on migratory waterfowl and your shotgun can only hold three shells. However in Texas tresspassing can be dangerous. I am surprised many illegals haven't already been shot. Many probably have and the feral hogs do a fine job of cleanup.

An old Marine friend of mine talked about how illegals would end up on the artillery range at Camp Pendleton, CA. No casualties in the time he was there but there were close calls.

How much does a taxidermist charge to mount one? Will tortillas plug up a feeder? Where do you shoot one so he runs off and dies in the brush? Seriously though, we have young kids driving utv's to blinds all over our lease in Dimmit County. They will be instructed to shoot if threatened.

I once heard a guy say that he heard a guy talking about hearing a guy say that he hunted on a huge TX ranch where shooting illegals was a common practice.
