A decidedly different display of up/down votes on post critical of 47 recently.

In the past if you said anything critical about Trump you were shouted and voted down into oblivion. BUT since the war with Iran started AND especially since all of these on again off again negotiations with repeated threats of the worst military action “the likes of which no one has ever seen” only to call it off at the last minute I’ve seen wayyyyy more upvotes and comments critical of Trump that I have ever seen before.

I do wonder how much this translates to the votes in the midterms?

quite a comment from someone who calls himself a master digger. but for the record im am 100% in favor of the war and wiping the current version of Iran off the map. The DSA candidates are terrible (but good for us republicans i think in a general election) and voted for 47 three times but can also be logically critical of him unlike some of you Maga/Qtards

up/down votes

Up and downvoting is the gayest thing that I have ever seen grown men do and actually care about doing. It's like a 6th grade girl's slambook.

I don't think it reflects any real world trends.

I agree...but its worth observing as a trend where the data is as large and widely used as it is here.

Being less than thrilled with the Iran situation will not cause me to vote for communists.

Yeah it's possibly quite good fortune that the DSA's have taken of the left and there are plenty who would never vote for that no matter how mad they are at Trump. Now if the Dims had half decent "centrist" candidates it might be a bigger problem.

I agree with OP. Seems like either the zealots are starting to actually think a little or the people who do think are getting more vocal.

For decades, I have considered the left to be the home of the hive mind and blind sycophancy. It’s frustrating the degree to which the right is now populated by tribalists that shout down even the slightest pushback on (or even questioning of) Trump with all kinds of “You voted for Kamala!” crap.

If you take upvotes/downvotes on a message board as an indicator you have a more serious problem. Also how does this even matter when Trump isn’t going to be in the next election?

Trump ain’t on the ballot.

Also, most people understand you’re voting for the lesser of awful.

The hell he’s not. Midterms are always an indicator of the favorability of the administration. Claiming otherwise is just silly.

Despite the handwringing on this board, even MAGA faithful are doubting him and his blunders.

He's really fricked this up.

Trump isn't above criticism but I would still crawl through glass to make sure he was elected over Harris in 2024. Besides, there is a MUCH bigger fight looming on the horizon that doesn't involve Trump. The Republicans need to start figuring out who they're going to prop up to battle these commie POS' the Dems are currently rallying behind.

Both sides are going to have to figure out how to quit Trump.

This still happens and this reply will get downvoted too.

I doubt hardly any who voted for Trump will now vote for a Democrat instead. Difference between being disappointed and flipping completely.

I don't know... but I'm sure your wishing it leads to Dems winning seats in a muh "bloodbath."
