Not particularly focused on Trump's involvement/lack thereof with it
And let it be known that MAGA making Epstein a cause celebre for years complete with binder theatrics and promises of blowing the lid off a mega scandal, and then deciding overnight it was merely a distraction, have enabled some of this

They have nothing on Trump. Why is else would they have made up fake trials and try to assasinate him? If they had something on him, he would be in jail.

To me it's essentially "turnabout is fair play"
Trump/MAGA/Republicans aren't outsiders getting their first crack at everything. They had the ability to know a good bit of what existed on Epstein, what they could/couldn't get out, etc.
And they beat the drum for years on it, only to get in office and (in my view) determine their hands were tied. I don't think because of Trump's role, but because of other sensitivities and likely IC involvement. There is probably a "good" reason why Trump/MAGA can't hit back after all the lead up. But there is no excuse for getting themselves boxed in on it.
