If the illegal was directly threatening the life of the rancher, family or livestock; then yes deadly force is warranted. Simply crossing his land is not a justification for killing him.
I’m not going to sit around and wait and see if SOMEONE WHO DOESNT EVEN BELONG HERE wants to be my friend or if he wants to kill my family
Why oh why are all you you bleeding heart liberals so hell bent on protecting people who don’t even belong here?

Going to be a lot of "Christians" in this thread applauding this act of violence.
And there’s a few left wing fruitcakes in here that are mourning the loss of a future vote

Jaywalking is not a capital offense.
Neither is trespassing.

So it is legal in Arizona to shoot, I don't know, lets say a 12 year old boy, because you think he is about to trespass on your place? A damned good reason to stay out of that hell hole for certain. What is "immediately necessary" to PREVENT trespassing??? If the illegal was already on the ranch the rancher didn't prevent trespassing he ended it, no?

I can guarantee that this isnt accurate. That means if my 81 year old neighbor cuts through my lawn on his morning walk, I can just shoot him? Gonna need to see a link to a statute.
Ain't gonna get a link cause it dont exist...there is NO way that could possibly be the law in a civilized society. The way the OP worded it you could shoot the neighbor if you thought he was going to trespass but the OP doesn't say if you can shoot him if he done did it....
Of course you cant becauce a completely innocent person could easily accidentally trespass on someone's property and cause the owner no damage or loss...why would it be legal to kill that person???? The answer is of course that it ain't, not in Arizon, not anywhere....

If we actually enforced our border laws ole baw wouldn’t need to be out there plunking drug mules in his backyard.

My first question is how did the authorities know? Border ranchers need to start digging holes and quietly punching tickets to the train station
This. Treat them like other nuisances like wild hogs or coyotes. Shoot, dispose. End of story

A few thousand incidents like this and the border jumping problem will resolve itself, but it’s a sad situation.
Politicians are putting American citizens in bad positions with the reckless border policies.
had they all been treated this way in the beginning there would be no illegal immigrant issues or crossings. but no we must keep pandoras box wide arse open

Of course, but don't you think killing a man for it is a little extreme unless there is some threat to your life?
You know, i can't seem to figure it out, but when you had a right to defend your property however you saw fit, from trespassers, looters, potential violent crime, overall crime rates were very low. For some strange reason, crime is extremely high now...
It's quite the enigma.

However, deductive reasoning leads me to believe if any such statute existed, a First Degree murder charge with a $1,000,000 bond that the judge refused to reduce probably wouldn’t have been levied.
Would that be the same deductive reasoning that would tell you that a couple defending their home in a gated neighborhood, in Missouri, one of the most pro 2A states in the country, would face prosecution simply for standing in front of their home as a mob walked by talking about eating the rich?
We have a lot of prosecutorial misconduct going on these days, amongst lawyers who think they can impose their version of right and wrong on people. There should be more lawyers than ever losing their license to practice over it.

This board is weird af when it comes to wanting to shoot someone. I mean I take a wrong turn into your driveway and90% of this board seems to think its justifiable to light them up. I was downvoted to shite because I thought it unreasonable to kill someone you thought was breaking into your car. Literally the next day my 11 yo daughter was trying to get into a car she thought was ours but wasnt. I guess the alphas on here would be ok pumping her full of lead.
I'm pretty conservative and love the 2A but some of you people have some issues.

you are getting down votes but most likely he shot him from a distance and was not in an immediate threat. He should of had a throw down gun like most cops in America carry.

What’s politics without identity politics, and what’s warfare without class warfare, right Big Bitch TX?
How many criminal illegals are you housing, feeding, clothing, and providing medical care for, Big Bitch?
