He'll be about 80 years old and is already showing signs of dementia.

God I hope he runs again.
It will be great seeing him get beat and all the Trumpers lose their minds all over again.

I don't know why people just ignore the fact he will be 78.

Not saying he will be in the same state as Potato, but it is a risk.

Reagan noticeably slowed as well.

Trump is going to run in 2024 . He is not endorsing rhinos for no reason . He is playing politics. I wish he would campaign against all of the rhinos in the 2022 election . We need to get rhinos out if we want to make a difference.

Listen, I just want a conservative to get the nomination and win the general election. No fricking Romney or McCain.

I want the candidate that gives us the best chance to win, and I think that candidate is DeSantis.

My rebuttal would be this: if Trump didn't rub people the wrong way, if he didn't have the persona he does, he'd be just another party republican.

No he wouldn't.

No other republican has, or would have, pushed for policies like he did.

He had a couple one on one interviews where he came across very likable.

Hell, he doesn't even need to be all that likable. Just not so thin skinned. Not every slight needs to be addressed.

44% is more than enough to win the GOP primary.

Ok, who do you have then?

Desantis? He's a good governor but a lifelong political creature. After him, the field gets extremely thin and is almost entirely made up of men and women whose entire goal in life was to make it to DC.

Trump was unique in that his WASN'T.

Think of all the issues that are top level with us today that weren't even on either party's radar prior to Trump: Immigration, China, trade, tax reform, military de-escalation just to name a few. Now we want Trump to "just go away" or continue on as a fundraiser for more career politicians?

If Trump doesn't run in 24, all of what rose with him will be repackaged as a fad, an extremist blip, a dismissable mistake and we'll be back to voting for "lesser evils" while we watch America drown in globalism.

Screw that 56%. They're just as foolish as a Biden voter.

"Part of it is while he has a large, very solid, very vocal, base he turns off a lot of people in the middle simply due to his persona.

If he toned down his personality a bit he'd be in the WH right now as the dems couldn't have manufactured enough votes to keep him out.

Downvote away, but it is the truth. There is little moddle ground with Trump. People either love him or hate him."

That is exactly right. He could have pivoted and acted a little more normal and he would still be President. I'm not suggesting he should have not used Twitter... he should have ... but his real personality comes out in the Tweets and it is sad. His theme helped him win in 2016 and his personality killed him in 2020. Do you think Trump would ever associate with most of his followers if he wasn't in politics... Not a chance.

How many times has Trump been right when the consensus "Trump narrative" was 100$ wrong? "

And Ron DeSantis would be like Trump in the good ways and not like Trump in the bad ways ... meaning when Trump says stuff that is dumb as he!!.... which he did a lot.

And which of those issues would DeSantis not push forward? None.

If you asked me five years ago, I would have agreed on DeSantis and his time in politics. DeSantis gets it. He will be a Trump like President without all of the BS baggage that Trump brings. DeSantis would beat WHOEVER the DEMs put up... Trump may ... or MAY NOT.

I can’t wait for Trump to destroy the Democrats after his election in 2024. I want him to go scorched earth on the Ef Bee Eye , sea I Aye , all those Democrats who pursued the Russian collusion thing , including schiff for Brains , and Hillary. I think Trump tried to play nicely nice after he won in 16. Time to burn it down and then fix it and only Trump will have the balls to go after the culprits

But will McConnel still be in the Senate in 2024?

Who would be the next Senate Majority leader to approve appointments? Who will be on the Senate Intel Committee by then?

That is where the focus should also be.
It will be a very different Congress by 2024.

I won’t vote for anyone other than Trump. The election was stolen from him and 90% of elected “Republicans” did Jack shite. Let it all burn. I’m ready. Are you?
