Saxony is the Mississippi of Germany... hoity-toity krauts like to bash them as backwards and unsophisticated to make themselves feel superior. I guarantee some Germans would lock themselves down if they thought it might disproportionately affect Saxony more.
Krauts mostly just do what they are told until they think it was their idea anyway and force it on others. So glad my ancestors left/got kicked out of/escaped from there and came to Texas.

Whenever I ask a military person what place they hated the most Twentynine Palms is a popular response.
