Why not just leave the cities? I make good money and was doing pretty well back in Florida but after moving to the Ozarks of Missouri with the same salary my dollar goes far further than it did in Florida. It's like they want to destroy the dollar just so folks will have the illusion of being able to live in these big cities knowing full well prices will go up to offset those minimum wages and drive more people to the government tit.

Course Barbara Lee doesn’t have enough sense to realize at $50 minimum wage the price of goods and services skyrockets and we move even closer to Venezuela

Let them do it. Crash the economy

Having a min wage of $25/hr wouldn't increase the cost of living?
You raise the prices for everyone when you increase min wage. We know that, but they are just trying to get votes.
Price increases b/c of min wage hurts the people you are trying to help the most.
Hey what about decrease your state income, prop, gas taxes?

In the Bay Area, I believe it was the United Way that came out with a report that very recently $127,000 for a family of four is just barely enough to get by
In my area, a families of more than four live comfortably on less than $50K everywhere. Average household income is around $35K. These are renters and homeowners, not people crammed into massive apartment complexes.
California policies caused the cost of living increases, and a $50 MW would only exacerbate the problem and cause cost of living increases to rise threefold across the entire nation eventually.
Don't like not being able to afford living in California? Move out of California.

I believe $127,000 is tough to get by on in the bay area. I also beleive arbitrarily raising the minimum wage will provide any relief.

Fine with me as long as they restrict it to California. Say good bye to fast food, Walmart and pretty much everything else that needs people to work.

I'm all for it

There will be more people on welfare than working if this ever happens. Guaranteed.
