I'm surprised Mittens and Possum-eyed Joe, aka Bill Cassidy, didn't donate to Ms. Britt's campaign.

You should only be able to contribute for a candidate or political issue on which you can actually vote. Not for someone or something in another state.

If there were a new country this would be one of my suggested amendments.

You might want to give this a little more thought. I live in Kansas and in 2016 I contributed to the guy in Wisconsin that was running against Paul Ryan in the primary. I also contributed to the primary campaign of Greg Ellison who was running to represent LA in the House of Representatives. In primary elections, the contributions go directly to the campaign and are not directed through the party (RNC/DNC).

Mo Brooks sucks.

Give me a SPECIFIC example of a policy or position of Brooks you oppose and why.

I have personally known Brooks for 55 years (went to school w/him in Huntsville) and he has absolute integrity and is an originalist Constitutional scholar.

I too would like an answer to this blanket statement.

AMEN to that - Shelby needs complete eradication when he leaves for good.

Hell, there are 9,000 buildings with his name on them - GIVE IT UP, Dick!

There are some seriously naive and simple minded folks around here.
Shelby has been one of the most influential Senators in D.C. for many years. His chairmanships of the various committees has allowed him to effectively serve and take care of his state during his years there.
Just to show people some of his responsibilities and positions while there:
"Senator Shelby served as chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations and its subcommittee on defense during a portion of the 115th Congress and the entirety of the 116th Congress. He also served as vice chairman of the Appropriations Committee for the 113th Congress.

As the previous chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee and the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, Senator Shelby remains a senior member on each of the committees. Notably, he is the longest-serving member in history on the Senate Banking Committee."
The reason you see his name on so many buildings is because he was responsible for the funds it took to build them.

I see her billboards everywhere, Birmingham North, West and East ...What a waste. She'll get destroyed in the primary. Shelby is the baggage for her. No one wants anything to do with his RINO recommendation.

She went from like 10% polling to neck and neck in a flash. All the money is behind her.

It comes down to the federal printing press. She will bring home pork. Brooks is actually a conservative and one of VERY few in this state. The globalists want another Shelby which she absolutely is. Anyone running against Britt - Trump or not - is fighting an uphill battle.

I think the word you are looking for is “taxpayers”. Richard Shelby didn’t do a damned thing except get rich on lobby cash and play the game. He and his kind ARE the problem.

And all that money came right out of his pockets, I assume? It came without strings and caveats I’m sure. Alabama isn’t forever tied to Washington DC because of all of that debt either, right?

Before the country fricked up and ratified the 17th Amendment you didn't have this problem for senators.

You also could stop a Senator from being a career Senator since they were elected by the State legislatures.

The rights of states would be better represented still today if not for the 17th

That's the JOB of national politicians to direct govt funds to different areas of their constituency for their welfare!
He's presently working on a major project at Mobile Bay that would Make one of the five largest ports in the country! When/if this is accomplished, the economic explosion in south Alabama will be tremendous.
Senators don't just vote on proposed law!

If you fail to see that both parties have long been captured assets of our nation’s wholly corrupted national security apparatus, that is all by design. The UniParty® is built upon the strategy of solidifying it’s power through the politics of divide and conquer.

This entire “transgender” agenda is a case in point: the GOP increasingly offers but token resistant to this demonic insanity. Indeed, Richard Shelby, a supposed rock-ribbed conservative from the deepest of Deep Red states, has waved the white flag on this issue because he was told to do so by the defense industry contractors who fund his campaign war-chest:

Sen. Richard Shelby backs transgender troops in military....

Great goodness all mighty! We got a true believer here!

Yes. Shelby, with great sweat and toil, picked the money from the money tree he grew in his backyard to build these buildings as a monument to his selfless service to the people of Alabama!
