If Gaetz or another member does not report to the Capitol to record their presence, that district's seat will be designated vacant..

I’m reading the ABC article that he can have his name read by the clerk as intended to serve FL-1 in the 119th Congress, show up on the first session and still take his seat. He cannot return to the 18th in lame duck.
That’s what I’m seeing. No need for special election since one hasn’t been called and he is still Congressman elect for FL-1 of the 119th Congress

Gaetz is not involved in any other dimensions of chess. It was obvious as hell that he’d never be the AG and seemed more of a troll than anything
