In Arizona, ballots must be received by election day.
ALL the voting laws and procedures in AZ were written by Republicans not Democrats. The ballots they have left were people who dropped mail-in ballots at polling places and boxes on Election Day.
Its the same situation in Nevada though Democrats wrote most of their laws and regulations on voting. In Nevada, ballots can be received through Saturday IF they are postmarked by election day. (Clark County (LV) received 104 mail in ballots today through they were postmarked by Nov 8.
Because mail-in ballots need a verification process then a counting process, it just takes a week or so to finish them off.

You’re neglecting to mention the role of lawyers and judges. For example, the AZ legislature has twice passed laws requiring proof of citizenship to register to vote, and have had judges strike it down both times.

I don’t know, depends on the cause of the slow count. IF the delay is due to mail-in ballots and/or huge metro areas not having staff to process the deluge quickly- maybe 90%? If we have reason to believe the outstanding ballots are representative of the overall district, then it obviously stands they should break somewhere closer to 50%. Why don’t you study and get back to us if that’s what you’d like to discuss? Also, link to them “finding 25K more ballots?”
