"I mean, I love my kids but they are expensive as frick."

Heck, I suspect we would have had another kid if we lived where it wasn't so incredibly expensive to have them (and we made the decision to stop at two before we knew the second kid had some issues that made him exquisitely pricey).

That means that the progs will have to work double hard to indoctrinate other people's kids after not having any of their own.

Unfortunately, about 5% of the world is responsible for all of the innovation and invention that solves our problems keeping Malthus at bay and a lower birth rate there bodes ill for future solutions.

Intentionally. It isn't complicated.

Everybody has valid points, and it is definitely expensive as all hell if you dont want your kids to need to fight their way onto and off of the bus every morning. No sane person wants that or views it as viable.

Correct. I think the standardization of dual-income households and lifestyle creep are major drivers. It's self inflicted. By going dual income and standarizing the $200k+ mcmansions as the only suburban option, we've priced out the single income blue collar multi-child family.

Seems like this ties into the abortion thread.

They certainly have a common motive- “Me, me, me and more me. It’s all about me. MY body. MY choice. MY truth.” And, just like abortion, these “me first” decisions have far reaching and long lasting effects that negatively impact the rest of us.

Anyone who doesn’t have, or plan to have, children (but is capable)- has absolutely no right to complain about illegal immigration.

Public Schools, Stay at home mom, downsized home

You say these are options but they really arent.

If i had chosen to stay at home, we wouldnt have been able to afford a home at all. It would have cost us more for me to stay home than pay for daycare. This is an illuison, this would have been the selfish choice in our circumstances.

Public Schools (most not all and I went to public high school) are failing our children and society. Also, if you find a home in a good public school district chances are you cannot afford the home in the district or check out the property taxes in those districts.

....We didnt pick the sexy options.

8k to deliver my youngest just over 3500 to heal my oldest broken arm ...500 a month in pre paid college and a 12 yr old that is embarrassed to eat off a kids menu ... For food shes only going to eat half of. But watching them find the things they love doing, seeing them acting goofy around the dinner table , watching them interact and learn from my wife....worth every sacrifice and that's not something you can explain till you go through it

Being an old man now, not having my son, daughter, grand kids and step-family would make these sunset days seem meaningless and empty.

Yes, they would rather have a house, investments, or cash than a child. What a very lonely way to live.

My full blooded sister and I are adoptees. We were fortunate enough to be adopted by relatives, Into a very good family.
I don't wanna know how many thousands of kids there are right now, that need homes.
I adopted my son when his father ran out on him and his mom.
My sister adopted a baby girl when all she and her husband were making was boys.

I am mad that people would rather go through all that crap, when there's thousands of kids that need good homes, and people to love them.

Just wait until that 15 year old starts driving. Just added my son and her car to my insurance and it jumped 140%.

Seems like this ties into the abortion thread. Appears that many of the younger generation look at children as a commodity.

They see kids as a prop.

Sure.

If you don’t care about the kids, def don’t get married and just pop out some offspring. They’re statistically starting behind the eight ball, but the left hasn’t ever cared about children unless they could mobilize them for the Revolution.

On the plus side of things tho. I'd rather some of them be childless than these types that wanna be done with it after it's no longer a little baby doll.
