What exactly is the purpose behind life cubs? Not for you, but in general, is there a reason for existence?

Link?

Well besides the illegal alien women and girls sold into slavery in the US to pay the cartels and coyotes for their transport here over the wide open border.

Its a softball chant.

I haven't been chained to anything since I was in Public School. Thats the only prison we have for innocent people. Everything Ive done was my choice, right or wrong.

Bernie Sanders has proposed legislation to
Mandate a 32 hour work week instead of a 40 hour work week with no reduction in pay.

When all the folks who love this idea suddenly find they are enjoying working 20% fewer hours but are suddenly seeing 20% less pay they're gonna wonder what happened. The explanation will be, "You're still making X-amount of dollars per hour, so there is no reduction in pay. Only reduction in hours billable."

Bernie's a shrewd, old socialist feeding on the ignorance of idiots and freeloaders.

Thats cool. But this is a relatively new thing to mankind. Most of us didnt have this luxury years ago, and still have that ethic.

Men have more pressure on them than women to provide. You'll never understand that.

What about my statement read as a complaint to you? I'm not complaining about strangers working 80 hours a week. You do you.

Because all you pansies do is complain. When you run out of stuff to complain about… you make up stuff to complain and be outraged about.

Show me one hourly worker who is working 60 hours and being paid for 40. And if they don’t want to work a compensated 60 hours.. move on to the thousands of employers in this country that do not.

Most of the people who work unpaid hours are small business owners. The trade off is supposed to be in income when the business is established.

You were really triggered by my observation that lots of Americans make their personalities "I happily work 60 hours a week."

Absolutely no triggering about that. The “triggering” is the blind worship of a Vermont socialist who, in fact, is not socialist when it comes to his wealth. A faux socialist who had to drop “millionaires” from his speeches because he became one.

And then you folks come here and repeat what you are commanded to repeat from idiots like him.

Sounds like you've made some really bad life choices, if you feel like that's the case.

don't prescribe to the notion that working fewer hours in any way equates to being less productive or lazy. EX: Surgeons schedule cases in bunches for any given day to be off as long as they like or space them out for the same reason.

So what’s the plan to cut teachers hours?

Hire more teachers? Or cut school hours?

Its even more weird to be proud of the fact you work as little as possible.

Men have pressure to provide and have done this for centuries. Something about it disturbs you

The one unintended consequence of ideas like this is that it puts emphasis on automation. People have and will continue to be replaced by automation. Self check out, vending machine fast food, driverless cars, robots working warehouse, drone delivery… all a result of business trying to cut cost from the higher demands from human workers.

Sorry Bernie- socialism has consequences

Most 40 hr a week people already only work 32 hrs or less when you deduct their paid lunches and breaks.

Now imagine a 32 hour work week......you'll get about 25 hours of productivity from every overworked employee.

If a company wants to enact this they are free to. The government needs to GTFO.

This will be a great (sarcasm) plan that absolutely fricks over most workers.

The simple work around.

Make your employees contract workers @ 40 hrs a week.

Then stick the middle class paying 100% of their FICA Taxes.

It's not the work week that sucks, it's the pay that sucks for most jobs. Well, the economy is what sucks.

Some people are working 2 jobs for 80 hours a week and still struggling to hold on. Putting the work week to 32 hours for 40 hours pay.. would mean that some of those people would keep their two full time jobs, working 64 hours instead of 80 hours...and then get a part time third job.

As long as the economy sucks arse, people are going to struggle.

Nay. The government shouldn’t be deciding who is tired and needs less 8 hours of work per week.

I'm glad you asked! The purpose of life is to love and serve those around you, including those who are unpleasant or hostile to you. The reason for existence is to find fulfillment through acts of service.

Pay only sucks if you don't work hard or you're not good at what you do.

My wife's half brother's son is in his early-mid 20s and making 100 grand a year in BFE Oklahoma doing pest control. Which in rural Oklahoma equates to a pretty good living.

This mother fricker is dumber than a box of rocks. He got a 6 on the ASVAB and thought the the capitol of Texas was Dallas (he lived half his life in Texas).

Can you be specific? It's not that I don't believe you, but I want to know what we're talking about.

What kind of jobs are these?

When you say "struggling to hold on," what exactly does that mean?
