Now explain to me how Hawaii has gone 9 months without a single case of Type A or Type B flu. Its not because of the flu shot, so . . . . ?

That translates into documented frickery. Yet you gleefully got injected not with an actual vaccine, but a DNA modifier, against something that might possibly be just a stronger than normal case of influenza

Scary actually

All I know is we’ve cured the flu this year. No one has the flu or less than 5% have gotten it this year.

If we can cure the flu we can cure Covid. Just need to introduce a new pandemic virus and poof Covid will be gone.

Side note: yes I believe Covid is real and I know people who have gotten it. My boss and 1/2 the people I work with have gotten it just like people got the flu in 2019. I just don’t think it’s as bad as the media/government is selling to all of us

I don't need 31 reasons not to take it.

If people want to take, take it. If you want to continue to wear a mask after you take it, wear it.

Fauci, CDC, WHO can't even wrap their arms around this the thing.

It's an EXPERIMENTAL drug granted for EMERGENCY use by the FDA.

Some of you idiots evidently experimented with drugs at some point and time in your lives to fall for this shite.

Yet.

It’s the 4-18months afterward that concern me.

I'm tired of this lockdown crap.

Or we could just go back to living like normal without taking an experimental drug.

99.7% survival rate seems pretty good to me.

Unlike a normal vaccine, RNA vaccines work by introducing an mRNA sequence (the molecule which tells cells what to build) which is coded for a disease specific antigen,

In short, DNA is the genetic instruction manual for our bodies. mRNA makes a copy of that manual and carries it out of the cell’s nucleus.

I'm not sure you understand the definition to the word 'modifier'

This mRNA does not make its way into the nucleus to "modify" you DNA. It cannot.

The OP is posting a moronic rabbi that clearly 1) buys into conspiracy theories with no backing, 2) has no understanding of how these things works.

1) Vaccines to not have to impart complete immunity. The purpose of a vaccine is to help the body have familiarity with an antigen (virus/bacteria/etc) to respond more quickly and effectively if the person is ill.

Hell, the TDAP vaccince for tetanus pertussis, etc, is taken every ten years becuase the antibody production goes down over time and needs to be restarted.

2) They are not altering genes. I don't even know where this nonsense is coming from. mRNA is a downstream copy of your DNA that then goes on to code proteins for the gene. It is short-lived and for those that have worked with it, it is a pain in the arse, because it degrades rapidly without protection or extreme cleaning of even surfaces.

There are many more idiotic arguments in that post.

In the end, I don't think anyone should take the vaccine if they don't feel comfortable. It is an individual's choice and they need to come to it on their own terms. If you think there isn't enough data on it from the quick turnaround, by all means I agree.

Just make your decision on legitimate facts and not conspiracy theories that it is going to genetically alter your body ton control you and make you a zombie.

Maybe you should tell Moderna that

I'm leery of taking the vaccine as well. If I was in an at risk category my opinion would likely be different.

However, considering we are expected to be at herd immunity in April, I'll take my chances. It's concerning to me how quickly these vaccines were approved with limited test trials, none of which were long-term.

They are explaining mRNA in general. That is how your endogenous mRNA is created. It comes from your cell's nucleus and moves out to the cytoplasm to a ribosome for translation. The vaccine provides already created mRNA that does not enter the nucleus.

Not exactly the same but similar

Im against taking it because i don't need it...I don't trust the science behind it ( for allb the hoopla of Apollo 11...we forget about Apollo 1) and i don't trust the people tauting it. It was the US Govt that sprayed its own citizens with carcinogenic mists at the Pruet-Igo complex in St louis "oh we are just testing to see if the Soviets can spy through clouds " ...then residents starting contacting cancer in statistically significant numbers....nah, Im good with forgoing a vaccine

1. It’s not a vaccine. A vaccine by definition provides immunity to a disease.

I mean, if you can't get through the first sentence without writing something that is demonstrably untrue...
