There is something curious about this.
Son critically injured, calls Dad for help. Ten minutes away, Dad races out of the house to assist his son. Forgets his cell phone. Leaves son to go to the Convenience store. Why didn't Dad just use the phone in his son's hand that he had been called on just minutes before? Stay with the son and try to assist instead of leaving him?

Is a Louisiana fan actually gonna make that statement?

That was my assessment.

Maybe it was dead, maybe the police were already suppose to be on their way, maybe he thought they couldn't find the spot, maybe he couldn't unlock his sons phone.
I think yall are focusing on details that are not likely to be important.

right off the top they need to know if they told anyone what they saw or called the police. only a complete fool would kill them before finding out everything they know and who they told about it. they had no idea if these guys werent watching them before or not
Only an idiot would spend time beating someone, in that situation. You would just leave more evidence, linking you to murder, and they probably aren't going to tell you the truth anyway. Your time is limited, more people might be coming along too.
I believe the first guy was targeted for just an arse whipping, he was all alone at first, then the 2 other friends showed up, and tried to help their friend, and things went south from there.

I bet you don't give out your plans anymore, or have any routine, huh? Just curious, what happened with the employee? Were the cops able to charge him/her?

Hmmm Didn't put his son in the car when he drove to the convenience store to use the phone?
Or use the same phone the son used to call him?

Hopefully, the son is still on that phone, talking to 911, and they are using it to find his location. Father probably just wants to get some medical supplies real fast and do whatever he can.

Why would you tell one of your employees about you needing to make a deposit?

he dad shows up, speaks with his dying son. Then says I forgot my phone, so leaves his dying son and drives to a store to call for help instead of just using his son's, who we know had one becausehe had just called his dad for help. Then drives back to his son with a random 17 year old girl from the store..for what reason did she randomly go for a ride with a stranger to a triple homicide? Something seems fishy.
I think he panicked, the 17 year old girl drove him in his car back to the scene.
Still can't understand why the son didn't call 911, he was able to call his father and talk to his father when he arrived on the scene.

Don't assume criminals have your intelligence.

Yep, he doesn't know what the hell to do. It's not something most people are prepared for.

I think he probably did, he just called his Dad first. Good chance he was still on the phone with 911, and that's why his dad didn't use that phone. 911 tries to keep you on the line talking to you. The Dad was probably calling someone else to come help, who he thought could get there faster. One of his friends maybe, or his wife.

Lots of speculation and flawed logic in this thread. But one thing I know for sure is that Grady Judd is not the sheriff you want after you. Dude is a Legend in central Fl. His deputies once shot a man 60 something times and when asked why so many times he said that's all the ammo they had on them. He also told BLM to stay out of his County because people take property rights seriously and shoot first asked questions second.

Judd also wouldn't speculate on whether the attackers knew the victims, although he also suggested it wasn't a random attack.

Something more to this story for sure.

Sounds like they had something to hide by the kid not calling 911. Then the dad saying he didn't have his phone. And goes to the scene before calling.
They didn't call for a reason otherwise the dad calls for help immediately with his son dying.
Dad left it on purpose which gave him an out for not calling.
Something they didn't want the cops to see so much so it may have cost him his life.
