Bush/Cheney level propaganda.
This is the part of the Iran operation that I'm leery of.
I fully understand the long-term goal to keep Iran from kinking up global energy production.
I get that our partners (and Iran's competitors) in the Kingdom and the UAE have been playing nice with our old ally Israel and their decent behavior may merit a reward.
What I'm not sure of is how close Iran really is to a nuke, though I have no doubt that that is their goal it and would solidify them as a chokepoint lord that is basically untouchable.
I do recognize the propaganda game, which can be played for good or bad reasons. I'm not sure if this was a bit premature and couldn't have waited until after the midterms.

Not suprising since you are a big Mamdani supporter
So you just gave up, huh? Decided to resort to irrational lashing out with lies. Oh well, maybe work on your reading skills today and go back to basic math tomorrow.

It works and makes you wonder because it's so damned accurate
Iran has spent the past 35 years working on a defensive strategy for just this day.
Their airforce was jokingly called "the flying museum" because it relied on 1960's aircraft like F-4s. They had nothing like our MAC to move troops and equipment to other nations.
Their navy was about a dozen cutter sized craft. Nothing that could project power.
But they built infantry and ground forces. Bought tons of cruise cruise missiles and drones.
We have not even scratched the surface of what they stockpiled and that is why they are not negotiating. They want us to attack with ground forces.

By all accounts, they quit enriching in 2003. So basically you are paying those prices for nothing.
So the Stuxnet virus targeting Iranian centrifuges used for enriching uranium never happened?

I know that gas didn’t average $5 during the Biden administration. Unlike you, I understand the difference between the average gas price over a 4-year period and the peak national average gas price during one moment in time.

As I said, I will keep posting this snippet, from our own government's website until everybody quits saying "but they had nukes/were close to a nuke/wanted nukes/any variation of the same"
quote:
According to official U.S. assessments, Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in late 2003. This program's goal, according to U.S. officials and the IAEA, was to develop an implosion-style nuclear weapon for Iran's Shahab-3 ballistic missile. A 2025 public U.S. intelligence assessment stated that "Iran is not building a nuclear weapon" and that the now-former Supreme Leader had "not reauthorized the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003." IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated on March 4, 2026, that the agency "never had information indicating that there was a structured systematic [Iranian] program to build or to construct a nuclear weapon
As far as this is concerned

Hard for anyone, whose nation is within Isreal's stated goal of a Greater Isreal, to play nice with them.

Obviously he's not worried about the midterms or getting reelected. So he's going to do his thing with Iran.

Are you saying my government is lying in the report I linked?
Be careful
If they lied in the report, they could have lied about the centrifuge.
So, since I do not wish to make a guess as to which is a lie, you tell me.
At least we know they have never lied on the behalf of the MIC before.

How does the ending result in China suffering?
If the goal is to knock China back a few steps then why are negotiating trade deals with them. We should be uncoupling from them. We should not be educating their citizens. We shouldn’t even allow any of their citizens into our country.
They are and have been using our own constitution against us just like the leftists.

Because there has been no evidence presented of the alleged nuke development that has been two months away for the last 40 years.
This.
No evidence that we couldn’t do what we’ve been doing. Watch and gather intelligence then strike what we see. Been doing that for some time now. Failed at nation building in two separate countries. Let’s move up in weight class to Iran. Nobody wants this. $4 gas and a build up for a war?? With Iran?? Does the US government think Iranians want to be America in the Middle East?

You think Iran is getting out of the terrorism business?
You do realize the same people are running Iran today.
Are they going somewhere?
We were told we were on the cusp of a peaceful and prosperous Middle East.
We are trying to make a deal with these butchers.
Where have you been the last 40 years? Haven't we tried and failed at this before?
Why do so many of you think this part of the world can be fixed or improved by us?

Please try to make us see how constricting energy, on a global scale, thereby constricting global logistics, is a wise energy play.
Constricting isn't the play at all. I don't know if I can free you from your mind prison. All I can say is that keeping Iran from having sole control of the straight is an anti constricting energy play even if it causes temporary spikes.
Unlike the current administration, leftists want less energy use and would be happy for Iran to be in charge.
It's is the difference of heading in the right direction but hitting potholes along the way and being on a smooth road to a bad place.

The average price of gasoline during the Biden administration (January 2021 to January 2025) was approximately $ 3 . 6 0 per gallon. Forbes The national average fluctuated significantly during this period: Starting Price: Around $ 2 . 3 9 per gallon when he took office. Peak Price: A record high national average of over $ 5 . 0 0 per gallon in June 2022, largely driven by the aftermath of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Ending Price: Around $ 2 . 8 9 to $ 3 . 0 0 per gallon near the end of his term. House.gov +4
