We destroyed their nuclear program last summer. Bunker busters. Remember?

I love how people don't like using prior info as a comparison.

And how Biden was artificially forcing the increase, higher than it is now, to promote something that wasn't beneficial to us.

Also, people tend to forget that pre-Trump1 the strait closing would have had prices at minimum double than it is now. Closing the strait and still significantly lower than Biden and prior ME issues, is actually a pretty good feat.

Shows how Trump has started to neutralize the threat of using oil prices against us.

see no mention of a terrorist state developing nukes. Why

Because if we talk about Israel's nukes and terrorism, then we also need to talk about Israels war of genocide.

Besides Iran saying so themselves? How much highly enriched uranium did they say they had?

Also, where did that enriched uranium come from?

Poor decision to attack Iran on behest of a nation that has continuously misled our government for 35+ years.

Because it only has bearing for simpletons, but let's go ahead and play along.

Prior to this action, was it closed?

Only low because we are drawing down our reserves that were not even brought back up from when the last admin did it.

Wait a bit and tell me what you know of urea and what global importance it has. Where does the bulk of this urea come from? Where are we getting it now? If the disrupted supply is not fixed, how long will it be before you feel pain?

Not what I said at all. Just pointing out Democrat policies raised oil to the level of a ME war. I'm absolutely fine paying higher gas prices if Iran's nuclear program gets destroyed. If they still have a nuke in 5 years, then the action was a failure but unlike Bill Clinton paying North Korea to stop making Nukes and then they used the money to finish their program, at least Trump is trying to stop them. There is no alternate reality machine. We don't get to see what would or would not have happened but when a regime spends every single day saying they want to destroy the west, I'm going to take them at their word.

It is tough to discuss here because people want to turn it into a pro or anti trump issue instead of a geopolitical issue

That wasn’t the average gas price during the Biden administration.

I will keep posting this snippet, from our own government's website until everybody quits saying "but they had nukes/were close to a nuke/wanted nukes/any variation of the same.
quote:

According to official U.S. assessments, Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in late 2003. This program's goal, according to U.S. officials and the IAEA, was to develop an implosion-style nuclear weapon for Iran's Shahab-3 ballistic missile. A 2025 public U.S. intelligence assessment stated that "Iran is not building a nuclear weapon" and that the now-former Supreme Leader had "not reauthorized the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003." IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated on March 4, 2026, that the agency "never had information indicating that there was a structured systematic [Iranian] program to build or to construct a nuclear weapon."

By all accounts, they quit enriching in 2003. So basically you are paying those prices for nothing.

You think I'm making up that the goal is to increase the supply of energy?

That's the goal of the Trump administration even if some actions cause temporary spikes in prices

Past admissions like Obama/Biden had the opposite goal and policy. They wanted decreased energy production and permanent high prices to appease the climate hoaxers.
