No, he protected the American people.
December 2025 New Year’s Eve plots: Multiple foiled, including an ISIS-inspired attack in Mint Hill, NC (18-year-old Christian Sturdivant planned knife/hammer attacks on a grocery store and fast-food restaurant; arrested after online radicalization monitoring); and a far-left bombing plot in Los Angeles by the Turtle Island Liberation Front (anti-government/pro-Palestine group) targeting businesses with backpack IEDs (four arrested during rehearsal; disrupted before devices were functional)
Iranian-backed assassination plots: Asif Merchant (Pakistani national with IRGC ties) was convicted in 2026 for a 2024 plot to assassinate U.S. politicians/officials (including then-candidate Trump) by hiring undercover FBI agents as hitmen. Other Iranian/militia-linked plots (e.g., involving Kataib Hezbollah commander Mohammad al-Saadi targeting Jewish sites) were also disrupted.
April 2026 – San Fernando Valley, California: An Iranian national living in the U.S. was arrested by the FBI (Los Angeles Field Office) on a federal complaint charging her with selling Iranian-made weapons on behalf of Iran’s government
June 2025: ICE arrested 11 Iranian nationals across multiple states in 48 hours (part of a larger surge of hundreds during U.S.-Iran conflict). Among them were a former IRGC member with admitted Hezbollah ties (Mehran Makari Saheli, previously convicted in a case involving federal law enforcement) and a suspected terrorist/former Iranian army sniper. The FBI and DHS issued heightened threat warnings at the time, with the bureau’s assets “fully engaged.” Some of these individuals had prior FBI investigative ties.
Yeah... we want to roll the dice with them saying we have enough refined to make 11 nukes.
Don't be a dumbass

Besides Iran saying so themselves? How much highly enriched uranium did they say they had?
I thought that the Iranian regime were a bunch of liars.

His energy policy is directly impacted by his foreign policy decisions.
His energy policy is cutting red tape and regulation to spur production and supply. That's as good as it gets on that front.
On the foreign policy side he wants to keep Iran from becoming a chokepoint lord at the straight of Hormuz. The goal is to keep energy production flowing.
They are the same goal.

I would hope that anyone on a political talking board would know the difference between having material and enriching the material to weapons grade.
I would also hope that anyone on a political talking board would know enough to have read what our own government says about Iran's nuclear program. It mirrors what the entire international community says.
Let me link that information for you.
Us.gov site saying Iran had no nuke weapons and were not enriching to nuke weapons
I will even do one better and pull the important verbiage out for for you.
quote:
According to official U.S. assessments, Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in late 2003. This program's goal, according to U.S. officials and the IAEA, was to develop an implosion-style nuclear weapon for Iran's Shahab-3 ballistic missile. A 2025 public U.S. intelligence assessment stated that "Iran is not building a nuclear weapon" and that the now-former Supreme Leader had "not reauthorized the nuclear weapons program he suspended in 2003." IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated on March 4, 2026, that the agency "never had information indicating that there was a structured systematic [Iranian] program to build or to construct a nuclear weapon."
So, did you read that? By all accounts, they have not been enriching since 2003.
So where did you see that they said they were?

Considering it wasn't choked before this action, I would say he is failing.
Besides, that was not even a consideration. We were told exactly why just hours after we attacked as to why. Why must people make stuff up?
Let me link that up for you
Rubio says why we attacked
Be sure to read that we only did it now because Isreal was going to attack and that there was zero threat that wasn't there before.

No you didn't. You openly marched for their front Hezbollah with the rest of them dems when Israel went after them.

None of Rubio's comments conflict with what I said.
The goal is to keep Iran from becoming a powerful chokepoint lord.

Trump f'd up big with Iran. This was a stupid decision. There are no nuclear weapons you idiots! How many times do we have to go through this. Does anyone remember WMDs in Iraq???? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I'm ready for JD

Such a little liar. He stated this:
quote:
we knew that if we didn’t preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties and perhaps even higher those killed, and then we would all be here answering questions about why we knew that and didn’t act.

I see no mention of a terrorist state developing nukes. Why?
Maybe because that was taken care of in 2025.
Unless it wasn't, then you've got a credibility issue.

But his reasoning did not mention that and they were not doing it before this action.
Your reasoning makes no sense

You should reread what I posted. I can pull out the important info if it makes it easier.

It's all an energy play.
I can't make you see it.

I'm sure you were also upset when gasoline was near $4 because Biden blocked additional oil leases, canceled pipelines and regulated the hell out of the oil industry. Nothing like liberal policies raising gas prices almost as much as a war in the ME.

And so the President made the very wise decision. We knew that there was going to be an Israeli action, we knew that that would precipitate an attack against American forces, and we knew that if we didn’t preemptively go after them before they launched those attacks, we would suffer higher casualties and perhaps even higher those killed, and then we would all be here answering questions about why we knew that and didn’t act

Please try to make us see how constricting energy, on a global scale, thereby constricting global logistics, is a wise energy play.

The fact that this board has moved on to the talking point of “Trump, just like Biden” is hilarious.

I’m not the OP but I can say for me- someone who’s staunchly conservative, it’s because I don’t believe a word they say. Sadam had WMDs remember?
This seems like another poorly planned regime change attempt in a region that, since we began meddling, has turned more radical, less prosperous, and far less peaceful- even considering the historic lack of peace in that region. We’ve been on a mission to disrupt the power structure there since the late 80s and Iran was the last target on the list.
Government has abandoned the idea of America First in exchange for carrying out the next coup on behalf of the MIC
