How?

If Abraham makes the runoff, Louisiana deserves JBE

Yea, I understand that logic but you're ignoring the incumbency factor. People have to be angry or dissatisfied with an incumbent enough to get out and
a) vote
b) vote against him/her
I think that's changed. I think things have gotten so acidic and TDS on a national scale that if a candidate dares associates himself with the Democrat party, he needs to worry.

I think we'll have a runoff.

Then it will be Game On.

JBE gets close to 45%

All that depends on how many weak Republicans vote for Jbe.... I don't really have a guess on that. But if most of Republicans that voted for him last time come back home..... Its gonna be a blood bath for Bel

I’m with you, Abraham is about as milquetoast as they come. And when it comes right down to it, Louisiana rejects boring everytime. Abraham will not make the runoff. But if he does, I stand by my prediction that

quote:

There’s no Rispone supporter pissed off at Abraham enough to vote for JBE. Or pissed off enough to stay home.

If you voted Rispone in the primary you did it bc he would be a definite change from the status quo, and you think he could win. Reason 1 will make sure none of Rispone people switch teams.

I'm telling y'all now.... Most here are really under estimating Ralph Abraham even though both his opponents have out spent him to the tune of around 14 million..... He may get beat but I'll be shocked if Rispone beats him by more than 2 points

Edwards has a huge and well organized get out the vote apparatus ready to get moving tomorrow at 7am. It's quite impressive, really. He has organizations in New Orleans like BOLD, etc. at his service. If Edwards misses a knock out blow tomorrow night, it won't be by much.... like 48-49.5. If I'm Rispone or Abraham, I would have to evaluate if I want to spend millions in the hopes that Edwards does not pick up that 1-1.5%

It's all a game now, and the better organized candidate has an advantage. Rispone has a decent organization, which is surprising given the fact that Abraham is a sitting Congressman.

BTW anyone who complains about money in politics needs to shut up. It's money like Rispone's that has allowed him to be in as good a position as he is now.

Ralph will 100% endorse Rispone if he makes the runoff. He will probably openly campaign for him. That’s the kind of guy Doc is. His main concern is for the state of Louisiana, period.

My hopeful prediction:

- Edwards- 47%
-Abraham- 51%
-Rispone- Lands a rig as a Sneezy in a new Snow White remake, drops out of the race, moves to Hollywood and wins an Oscar for best supporting little person.

JBE 50% plus 1. Election Over. Anyone that thinks the majority of Abeaham supporters would give their heartfelt support to Rispone is a fool. You don't lie and disparage a good man like Doc Abraham, and it not be held against you. Abraham is a good man, but his fault is he's from North Louisiana. Louisiana last elected a governor from North Louisiana 30 years ago. JBE will be re-elected, and then it's 4 years of campaigning by Kennedy, Landry, and Nungesser to be the next open-seat governor.

Well I did not vote last election (was still AD military out of state) and I will be voting against JBE. I work in the oil industry now and have quickly learned that JBE's policies have pushed a lot of our oil and gas business to Texas.

Don't expect any type of support from Abraham for Rispone if the latter makes a runoff with JBE. It's going to be 2015 all over again.

I have seen first hand that while many of our chemical plants and refineries remain, many of the corporates offices have fled to Texas.
