The story that was posted as proof is crap and biased. Was the guy in a stolen vehicle? That's all I want to know.
How about the story where the cop is arrested and will be charged with murder if the kid dies?
Did you read that story? Of course not. Too many boots to lick. You sound like a cop who doesn't actually try to do his job well, instead deciding to just stand around and trust his shitty instincts.

He wasn’t the reason why the cop was there.
Cop is on a call believes he saw a car that he was chasing the day before. I can agree it's probable he acted inappropriately. I can't agree that this isn't a criminal getting caught. Nothing had said whether this guy was in a stolen vehicle and running from the cops again. In fact it specifically says the opposite that they don't know. Folowing Weirdflex down a rabbit hole with half the info gets you more burned cities right before an election. Sorry that's offensive to the deep thinkers in the crowd.

Doesn't answer the question in any way and you know it.

Three Philadelphia SWAT officers are in the hospital after being shot this morning trying while just trying to do their job.
Knowing what a stressful job they have, why not just comply?

Our society is overwhelmed with rebellious youth, Black and White. Blacks per the BLM 'narrative' feel justified in resisting "systematic racism" and many Whites are flat out psychologically dysfunctional for various cultural reasons. Both rebel against Authority, period; and given the real threat of violent resistance at any given point...what does LE do in response? Wait and risk being 'sucker punched'?
Our society becomes more violent by the day, and either designated LE authority draws a line and step in, or sooner or later it goes vigilante, and local communities devolve into 'war lord' scenarios.
This is like Covid, spreads like wildfire in a drought. Whatever we tolerate, we get more of. Period.

Comply with reasonable orders.
Imagine if you were in a parking lot at night, eating a burger when someone throws the door open, puts a gun at you, and shouts at you to get out. In that instant, would you “just comply?”

Not true. Philando Castille complied and that cop panicked and shot him anyway. Some cops just suck.
I back cops the majority of the time but there was no reason the cop should have ever even pulled his firearm in this case. He needs to go to jail.

Cops, like everyone else, make mistakes.
Maybe a more strenuous training period would have med for a better outcome.
Of course, these municipalities are cash strapped and stressed by the myriad of forces behind "defund"
Decisions this bad could only happen in this stressed state of affairs in which we find us.

Wow. So you are one of those who think that all cops are bad people right? Ignorant is what you are. Cops see killings, rapes, OD's, child molesting and daily domestic disputes etc..... every single day. They are under stress. They see nothing but negativity daily. Bad things happen sometimes when us humans are under stressful situations. We need the police and they need a huge raise because very few people want to be in law enforcement any more. I would not want to live in a society without law enforcement.

There are bad/stupid police officers.
My whole family is in law enforcement. I love them but it annoys me that they are reluctant to call out fellow officers when they frick up.
But on the other hand, they are attacked openly in the public square all the time. I understand why they are defensive.

PS: I agree with the sentiments that some people just can't cut it as cops. Psychological profiling in the hiring process can easily spot these; I could.
Cops should measure their own ability and understand that if they go over the justifiable line and do harm, they go to jail. I didn't watch the video but it sounds like this cop is headed just there.

This is spot on. The officer never identified himself and instead of attempting to control the situation he went full escalation from the get-go.
All that kid saw was a gun pointed at him, not an officer of the law.

It sounds like the guy was running from the cops and got spotted the next day and then what? Seems a little fuzzy how we went from getting spotted to getting shot.
No. Apparently the previous night the police officer tried stopping a car, the driver got away.
The officer saw this car in the parking lot, yanked open the door and started issuing commands at gunpoint.
Problem was, it was a different car.

Imagine if he’d called for support, boxed the car in, and used caution instead of going straight Rambo. The kid would still be healthy and the officer’s life not ruined

The video of it is literally in the article
I get the news being untrustworthy and all, so defaulting to being skeptical is the appropriate response. But good god man, there are still in fact many things you can (very easily) confirm by yourself… this story is one of them.
