I posted an NBC link for extra flavor.

The police are not your friends. There's no such "thing" as the Thin Blue Line.

That would not have happened if he was black.

Is this the kid who was told to get out the car? Instead he said why? then threw is in reverse and tried to drive away?

I’m not saying he deserves to get shot, but comply with the cops and you’ll never get shot/harmed.

What did the cop think? He was gonna hit him with his burger?

From the start that was horrible police work. That kid driving off after the cop assaulted him was a fight or flight response.

That cop should be on death row if that kid dies. If the kid doesn't I hope he sees that cop go to jail forever for attempted murder, and sues the city, police department, and the cop.

Cops, like everyone else, make mistakes. This police officer will almost certainly pay a stiff price for his actions. If your argument is that we give up all the good cops because of a few bad ones, then you are a fool. We've seen what defund the police has brought us. In my town, the Department is at about half strength and crime is running rampant.

The cop didn’t just make a “mistake”

He lied after the fact and tried to cover up what he did

You mean told as in the cop walking up with a gun, throwing open the door and demanding he get out? What separates that behavior from a car jacker? Please explain.

It sounds like the guy was running from the cops and got spotted the next day and then what? Seems a little fuzzy how we went from getting spotted to getting shot.

Anyone other than the BLM cocksucker got any info on this?

Yeah, it's all over the news. When you get done licking boots maybe you can try reading about it.

That's fine. I wasn't aware of that aspect, but it doesn't change anything. If anything it strengthens my argument that he will likely be punished appropriately. The OP is still stereotyping all police officers unnecessarily.

Cantu put the car in reverse with the driver's door still open and backed up, Campos said, adding the officer was hit by the open door.

"The officer then stepped back and opened fire on the vehicle as the driver reversed away from him," she said.

Multiple gunshots can be heard in the video as the maroon car backs away and the driver's door closes. More shots are fired as the car flees the parking lot, the video shows.

Do we know if this was true? Since the news isn't telling?

The story that was posted as proof is crap and biased. Was the guy in a stolen vehicle? That's all I want to know.

After their disgusting displays over the summer of 2020 I think all benefit of the doubt can be removed.

The police aren't your friends.

He wasn’t the reason why the cop was there.
Dude was trying to run away and he kept shooting.
This cop deserves whatever he’s charged with.
