It was simply chance (and mere inches over 100+ yards) we aren’t memorializing Trump instead of talking about him leaving the hospital. Nobody prevented the shooter from carrying out his plan. This was a complete failure.
Also, spectators in the crowd yelling for police very likely rushed his sight.
This is a massive FUBAR by Trump’s security detail no matter how you approach it.
Setting aside Deep State conspiracy theories about IC patsies, it borders on criminal negligence that the shooter was able to secure a sniper position, much less fire off a round.

The media is a true enemy

I think it was an act of God that caused the miss. I hope God brings swift justice to everyone who was behind this

130 yards with an AR for an untrained and inexperienced shooter is a tough shot.
If that kid would have had a deer rifle trump would be dead

Penn will be a shite show when the thing goes down. Just like old times. Not everyone wanted to fight the British.

No, but it certainly looks further away than 100yds,, More like 250 - 300

100 yard is an easy shot. EASY
I'm convinced that the shot was taken at the same instant when Trump turned to the right.
A nano second later, Trump would have been dead.

Obviously lol. I hit 500 yards with my 30.06 extremely consistently and I know people who can take it out close to a mile on that rifle

100 yards is a fricking lay up shot.

Shooting paper in the woods is a little different than assassinating Trump with snipers at the ready and folks pointing you out...
Glad he wasn't prepared for it.

For a pistol? Yes
For a rifle? No. It's not even mid range for most.
I believe you, but before I read this thread and got clarification, if I hear “mid range” I’d think 40-60 yards instinctively. Obviously I’m wrong about that, but I’m not the only one poorly versed in guns and shooting that would think the same thing I did.
It’s kind of like me as a working musician and hearing the misuse of the term “auto tune”. It’s almost never used properly by normal people (people use it when they really mean pitch correction). But, I still know what they mean by it, even though it makes my skin crawl.

My 12 year old son had killed deer further than this. This is starting to look like an inside job to me.
1. How did that shooter know to pick that roof top?
2. How did he climb onto the roof that’s at least 25+ feet in the air? Did he access it from a stairwell from inside the building, or a ladder from the outside?
3. Wasn’t even trying to blend in. Had dark clothing on with a white building and roof.
4. Untrained civilians record him from the ground, but the SS couldn’t see him from the other roof top?
5. The perimeter should have been at least a 500+yd radius around the event.
6. What’s the SOP for setting a perimeter for a presidential candidate?
This stinks of an inside job at its highest level.

Trump is very lucky this kid didn’t go for the far easier body shot than a head shot. Would be a completely different t day today for everyone.

Let’s just say I’ve popped deer skulls from 150 yards with ease. This was not a hard shot. Thankfully between nerves, wind, haste, and the use of an improper weapon for the task this did not work. Shooter was also probably very much a novice shooter.

And he's probably shooting from a slightly more elevated position. This was not a difficult shot.

Agree!
Want to see how close that AGR building was from the rally stage area? Below is a google street view from the rear parking lot of that building. Crooks was on the opposite side of this build and about 20 to 30 ft closer to the rally.
