Headed to Beantown next weekend. Any OT advice? Looking in particular for cool bars, particularly with live music. Getting around tips (taxi, über, subway) also appreciated.

Don't laugh at their speech impediment, they get pissy about it.

Yep. They may have trouble following my mix of redneck and coonass.

Go to Dillons. Ask for John (he has a cross eye). Tell him the two brothers from Louisiana sent ya.

Faneuil Hall, Duck tour in the day, the real Cheers bar has the best cheeseburger around

Public transportation is easy. Cabs are plentiful and Uber works well.

Plenty of good places to drink here too. If Irish pubs are your thing, check out Mr. Dooleys. But for live music, you'll have to search on your own I'm not too sure on that.

Plenty of awesome breweries to check out, I highly recommend Harpoon. Where are you staying?

I'm heading out to Cape Cod next week to get my Kennedy on. I'm going to spend a day in Boston on the front end.

It's been five years, I'm excited to get back. The good season is short up there, but for a month I think it's one of the best places in America. I love the hot days, cool nights.

The Rotary Circles kill me though.

This might be the worst advice possible, unless you're into super touristy stuff. Those are probably the top 3 cheesiest tourist things in the city (nothing personal 777, just one mans opinion)

Fanuiel hall is touristy no doubt. But if you've never been it's worth a trip.

Black rose is a cool Irish joint. Lolita has lots of cunty hot chicks. Boylston has a lot of stuff as does newbury.

There was some restaurant near the docks that was delicious. I can't remember the name of it but it had a bar in the middle. Great food.

Loved going to fenway.

the duck tour is pretty interesting, the guides are taught by Harvard history profs, the Cheers I'm referring to is not the tv set version, but the one with the sign shown in the opening of the show, it's a good place for lunch, there some decent pubs near Faneuil Hall, and he was asking about pub crawling

Yeah I almost mentioned black rose as well, great spot. Funny you mention Lolita, I haven't been there before but I am going there tonight for a friends birthday.

Almost forgot, every Friday during the summer, the city has a rotating list of museums that they let people into for free. A couple weeks ago I went to the Museum of Fine Arts and it was pretty awesome.

It's long and awesome. Very historical and interesting, climb the Bunker Hill Monument then go have a beer of 5

It seriously is a great way to spend a day, and you feel like you lived and accomplished something.

Hot chicks galore but they suck. Dillons is only a few blocks down on Boylston and Dalton and John is great. kelli at mcgreevys is cool as shite. Monster tits but is a Florida fan.

Like I said, it's just my opinion, but the duck tours are pretty cheesy. The pubs like Hennesseys and The Tap Room near Faneuil Hall are good during the day, but fair warning they turn into clubs at night.

If you are interested in this type of stuff, go to a show at the Improv Asylum in the North End. Really funny group and it's a blast after you've had a couple drinks.

yeah, I haven't branched out too much from the area around our hotel(Parker House) in awhile, we usually get in late at night and leave the next night, fun town
