What are the benefits to buying silver eagles instead of generic .999 silver rounds? The silver eagles are typically a couple dollar more per ounce. Just wondering why if both are .999 pure silver

No assay required when you got to sell a silver eagle is the logic. Generic rounds when you go to sell, especially the price gets to $200 like some predict, will likely need to have each round tested.

In what time frame and who is predicting that?

Eric Sprott. Lots of others. Don't recall the time frame. Some have been predicting it for a long time though, that is true.

I'd load up so much more silver at $10. I believe guys that stack silver will eventually be the smartest guys in the room.
I buy from a local dealer. Rounds are $1 over spot. Usually eagles are about 2.50 over, and Canadian coins less than $2.50.
I like to write the check and walk out with it. You need to factor in shipping to your cost. Also, a local dealer will almost always guaranty to buy it back from you.

Buy pre-1965 US Coinage. Just make sure it's not excessively worn. You can specify dated 1964, they weren't in circulation at all. There are fake silver rounds from Asia.

If you buy modern gold or silver bullion coins, consider investing in a Fisch counterfeit coin detector. Handy and pretty foolproof.

Couldn't tell you where I found the article. Doesn't it mean it was by someone credible anyways. I'm very new to this type of investment. Trying to learn some from my uncle who owns some gold stores around SE LA. Anybody have a site that they recommend for predicting the trends of silver?

I'd suggest it really depends on how you trade silver. For example, I buy physical silver, and really don't have much intention of selling it. I've bought as low as $6 per oz, and as high as $32. I wasn't tempted when it was pushing $50, as I beleive in the long term fundamentals.
When I trade, I trade paper around what I own. Mostly option on SLV. Also options on futures contracts. I beleive right now miners are a good long term play predicated on their financials, and how much it costs them to get it out of the ground.
Kitco has a very detailed metals news, including metals related stocks. Eric Sprott has published a lot, and most of his stuff can be found for free on the internet. BTW, he has a company that finances silver miners. At one point he lent his own money. I trust his wisdom more than others. A guy that really has skin in the game -v- a guy that wants to just sell a newsletter.
There is a lot out there. On both margins from Jim Kramer who hates silver, all the way to conspiracy theories.

I have never seen 1 prediction that Silver would ever get that high.
I remember a little over a year ago, the prediction was it would hit $38 in 2013 and instead, it tanked down to $17 from the low $30s.

Rob McEwen, Eric Sprott, Terry Kinder, Max Keiser, Greg McCoach. A lot of folks.
Ted Butler. Not all of them are nuts either.

Skimmed through it, but didn't see his timeframe...
If Silver were to hit 1k an ounce, I'd sell everything I had and be able to retire 15-20yrs early.

I buy both
I have Eagels and generics.
Eagles, Maple Leaf, Phil Harmonics, etc
Buy in bulk to save on shipping. Go in on an order with few other people.
some sites offer free shipping if a certain amount is spent.

Same here. I'll keep it for a SHTF situation or if it shoots up again cash out and pat myself on the back.
