The playground where Childress was painting while school kids were playing looked like the playground on River Road between Carrollton and Broadway.

I believe it was Fort Macomb.
Saw the Dot's Diner in River Ridge this week.
Here's an album from Reddit that has a lot of screenshots identified.

The wide shot looked like the Harahan playground on Hickory but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm pretty sure Tuttle's house that Rust broke in to last episode is a prominent one on St. Charles. It's pretty recognizable with the granite stairs leading up to the house.
I thought it was Tulane

The oak tree where they found Dora's body was is in vacherie.

Nope. It's Houghtaling's house. He's rented it out for a few movies lately.

As evidenced by this thread, they were all over the damn place. I'd like to Fort Macomb one day. And Visions, again.

while we are complimenting aspects of this show, other than the plot, acting, writing, etc., I'd like to give a shout out to the special effects crew.
Specifically, the ones who did the work for the head shots (kill shots) on Reggie L. and Childress. I've gone back and re-watched those two scenes as well as looking at some stills of them and the effects were awesome.
yet one more aspect of this series that was outstanding and worthy of any award it receives.

Marty's in-laws house was on Bayou Lacombe right across from a St Tammany Trace Trailhead and bridge.
