Been waiting on a trailer since they did a segment for this at Comic Con.

Elba being in it is awesome. Has a nice Evangelion meets Cloverfield type vibe.

Great looking movie but is it a law that all trailers must have the inception type horn in them now?

Looks pretty cool, but why do they have to build giant robot suits? Why don't they just bomb them or call Mintberry Crunch.

the robot suits actually kind of kill it for me. It just reminds me of the 80's cheese-fest, Robot Jox (with Mick Jagger). Terrible, terrible shite. It will probably still be awesome (Elba and Del Toro alone make it a must-see), but...fricking robot suits...?

Yeah, I don't get how we're supposed to believe that punching them with robot suits is effective while simply bombing them apparently isn't.

All the same, I'd still give all of my worldly possessions to see Mintberry Crunch show up at the end of this one and save the day.

Just saying. If this works out. There is a possibility for a Gundam Wing movie.

I like how the giant monsters rising from the bottom of the ocean is not where you drawn your line of believability.

Good point.

But suspending disbelief in matters of the supernatural is easy. Most monster origin stories are pretty ridiculous, but this is just simple physics.

bombs > giant robot fists

I would give anything for Charlie to come in at the last second, driving a suit, and screaming
