I'm gonna go ahead and say it. BFG A/Ts. Expensive, but I got 60k+ miles out of my last set.

Been researching this all day. here goes:

Best value is the General grabber, but they are on back order in most sizes.

BFGs--everyone loves, look good, last forever but cost a shitload. Treads are know to get pretty clogged in mud.

Nitto terra Grappler: great reviews, good pricing look good. Think I'm leaning to these.

Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ--purists like these tires. Medium priced.

Coopers--discussed above. haven't looked into yet.

Bridgestone Revo a/T. I am currently running 55K miles on mine. Never got stuck. Medium priced. not terribly aggressive anymore.

Mastercraft Courser CT resembles the BFG's somewhat, cost less.

Hankook Dynapro ATF's

Good tire, reasonably less expensive than many others already mentioned.

the most aggressive is the goodyear wrangler duratrac imo. it is a mud-allterrian hybrid. i have a friend that has them on a 1 ton dually with a steel bed and a welding machine on it, he has about 30k miles on em and they look like they will go another 20k or more.

I have some nitto grapplers and have loved em. I was so fixking tired of getting a nail or some shite in my tire every couple months. Been a year and nothing.

I have the MTZs on my truck(F250) and they have probably 30k on them with maybe 10 left before they are useless in the mud. I used to drive 100-300 miles a day, with 5-10 offroad, so the miles got up there pretty quick. They have been very good tires so far and I wouldnt think twice about recommending Mickey T's to anyone.

The problem with them is that you cannot get them in a true E-rated tire and they heat up when towing shite or having the bed full. Every company rates them differently with some E ratings being for 3850 and some for 3150. Just all depends who you go with.

I am probably gonna get the ATZs as my next pair because I do about 100 miles and barely go off-road anymore.

I have also had the BFG A/Ts on one of my older Tacomas and I got 75k out of them and gave them to a buddy to put on his F150. He got another 10k out of them.

I just ordered a set of BFG A/T's. I'm at 63,000 miles on my current set of BFG's (Rugged Trails) and could probably squeeze a little more out of them. I don't mind paying for a quality set of tires. I've had bad ones before and it's a giant pain in the arse.

Just got my first set. Have used mud tires prior to these. Haven't put them in the mud yet but they handle and ride do much better I am willing to give up the offload performance.

I have had good experience with Yokohamas. Don't remember the exact tire. I don't put that much thought or energy into tires.

Cooper discoverer ST

My old man has been through however many sets of A/T tires you go through in 170k miles on a 3/4 ton 4x4 with a shitpile of hauling miles. The coopers have been the best all around performer, with BFG all terrains in a reasonably close second.
