80,000 miles???????? You serious?

Yep, my truck had 5,000 miles on it in 08 when I bought it and the tires and rims were already on the truck. Its now got 83,000 miles on The odometer. The tires have only been rotated 3 times.

They probably wouldn't last quite as long on a full size truck, but my Tacoma is a double cab V6 so it's not a small truck.

I'm gonna go ahead and say it. BFG A/Ts. Expensive, but I got 60k+ miles out of my last set.

This. Bought my second pair last Friday. $1300+ for LT285/70R17 though.

Damn. $400 more than I paid for Firestones. I might end up getting a set for my next ones. Either that or I'm gonna get some really cheap off brand tires, depending on how poor I am and how much longer I plan on keeping the truck when it comes time for that.

Mine has the 2.5" but it's 4x4. I'm looking to put 35's on it when the stockers wear out.

If I were you I'd rock a 2"-2.5" leveling kit and some 33's.

Keep in mine the 4x4's have a 1" lift block on the rear stock from the factor, and there are also a few longer bolts in the front suspension that allow you to use the 2.5" or 3" kits more easily. I really had to fight to get the 3" kit on my 2wd, and it was way too tall in the front, so I built 1.5" blocks for the rear and installed...the front suspension travel is pretty limited now and although the alignment machines tell me it's aligned, the tires still don't wear right and wear quicker. I wouldn't go taller than 2" on a 2wd, and I'd feel better with 1.5"

frickers ain't cheap. I paid my truck off a year and a half ago so the extra cost ain't too bad. I plan on keeping my truck as long as possible. I went through a phase where I bought 3 in about five years. But frick a truck note.
