Finally watched Elf all the way through.

It was the SUCK. I had seen bitsnand pieces before of this and thought it may be mildly amusing but I have to say this movie is outright abysmal.

"Elf" is not a great movie as far as movies go, but it will go down in history as an EPIC Christmas movie, same as "Christmas Story" and "Christmas Vacation".
"It's a Wonderful Life" actually bombed at the theatres and didn't come a classic until NBC bought the rights and made it a classic.
The thing that makes "Elf" a great movie is the small comments and mannerisms that Buddy puts out, having nothing to do with the story.

I just realized a couple days ago that the blonde chick in it is Zooey Deschanel. She's much hotter as a brunette IMO.
It's a decent movie; one that the whole family can watch and everyone will get a few laughs out of.

It's not a movie I will actively seek out to watch, but if/when it's on tv and im just lounging around during the holidays, I'll watch it and get a few chuckles out of it

I wouldn't say it's terrible, but it is without a question, IMO, the most overrated winter season movie of all-time. To see it in some many peoples' list of favorite winter movies shocks me to no end.
