YETI vs OZARK Ice test

My nephew did the same thing the other day...much more ice left in the Ozark after 24 hours.

Providing great vacuum insulated products for decades. Meh.

Yeti develops a vacuum insulated cup and America loses its mind.

I just got an ad for it from a local store, showing some blue collar dude pouring coffee from a 90 dollar bottle into a 30 dollar cup.

'Merica.

I never remember to pack enough coffee. Maybe if I had one of these, I'd remember. That alone is worth the price. Especially when my boat partner still has coffee, and I haven't had any since the first 15 minutes in the truck

Hydroflask 64oz growler is $50. Same capacity, same or better performance, almost half the cost. You also have a few choices of colors and additional types of caps.

Yep. Hydroflask is great stuff.

Also strongly recommend the Stanley insulated pints and lids for home use. They're not like the Rambler for travel, but I much prefer them for use around the house, they're cheaper, and they can be put in the dishwasher.

I use an old LL Bean thermos for coffee. I think it is 40 oz. Probably 15+ years old, and just use the screw on lid as a cup. No way I'd get one that large in the Yeti price range.

Those and the old Stanley thermos. I need to do a test between mine and the Hydroflask but I don't think there's anything out there better than the Stanley for the money. Fill it with hot tap water to soak while the coffee is brewing, fill it up, and it's still piping hot after 6 hours in single digit temps and sitting in snow.

People will still buy it and come up with ways to justify the price.

That's the sad thing. These guys started this "luxury" cooler market, at least the price would be easier to justify if these were USA made products. I'd pay a premium for that. Unfortunately my two Aladdin Stanley thermoses are probably the last USA made flasks I'll ever buy since nobody else makes them here.

I don't know. My wife has one of those Swell bottles and uses it all the time. It truly does come in handy with the little one for extended day trips where we can fill it with milk and it stays ice cold all day in the holder of her baby bag.

My girlfriend bought me a Swell bottle and I really enjoy it. I have that and an ORCA chaser and both are great. I do enjoy being able to screw down the cap on the Swell.
