Wearing camo to and from hunting spots lets any thug at a convenience store know you have guns in your ride and
they will leave you alone.

I know several people that have had crash and dashes done on them while in convenience stores. all in NOLA.

I wear a black mask, black gloves and a black dry fit pull over so that I match the inside of the blind so my outline doesn’t stand out through the window. When it is cold, I wear layers. I use the scent killing products and leave my hunting clothes outside.

Just to clarify. You speaking of

1. Duck blind

or

2. Deer stand

or

3. You consider a "blind" as a word for both?

Why do hunters that strictly hunt from blinds wear camouflage?

Why wear camo at all? Camo is printed and sold for our eyes. A deer can't see that shite. You can wear $10 plaid and you're just as camouflage as wearing a sitka jacket in a deers world.

camo is the most over rated part of hunting
100 %. Scent control is second. You aren't fooling a deers nose no matter what you do.

I know there sense of smell is incredible, I don’t know if that is true or not about the scent killing products. What I do know is that I have had them blow at me and rat me out when I have forgotten to use it, and have had them literally walk 10 yards away and not even know that I am there.

It wasn't the scent killer spray. There are traditional bow hunters that never wear camo and never use scent killer sprays. They do bath in unscented soap and wash their clothes in unscented uv detergent. They claim none of the other stuff matters except being out there and being still.

Fair question. But camo is the warmest and most scent free clothing I own.

Same with me and it's also designed to be quiet.

I only wear solid black or dark gray shirts and hats when in my ground blinds.

I can see that, because I bathe in unscented soap and use unscented detergent as well. You give me something to think about for sure.

I'm planning to come out with a line of OSB pattern box stand camo.

You entrepreneurial assholes better stay away from my idea.
T1-11 would be another good one

I guarentee there is more than just one person going out this morning wearing $750 worth of digital camo, to sit in $2500 Sportsman Condo or Redneck Blind, who parks a $20k side by side where they can see it, that sprayed themselves down with XScentKilla 940 or whatever like it was a middle schooler with Axe Body Spray before a dance, that is going to eat something like a sausage biscuit or McDonalds hashbrowns that even I can smell from 100 yards away... and they will probably kill a bigger deer than I will this year

I don’t care what I look like as long as I am comfortable for the weather.

When it’s super cold I have some camo wool bibs from Scheels I bought on clearance and a 20 year old camo Columbia wool jacket. Under it I normally have some Academy BCG sweatpants/top on and base layers.

When the weather is mild I generally have on a dark colored long sleeve tshirt and blue jeans.

I wash all of my clothes in unscented detergent and dryer sheets and store my hunting gear in a large ziploc storage bag with two boxes of baking soda.

I don’t get caught up in “fashion trends.”

I saw some pics on Facebook from an “oufitter” that showed a hunter with a longtusi (longhorn and watusi cross) he shot. I thought it was funny the dude was in full Kuiu to kill a damn cow.
