Another 3-4 years on a 2020 Tundra? You’ll still be breaking it in. Mine is a 2016 with 165k miles and I couldn’t be happier. 14.5 mpg isn’t good but I can accept that when it gives me no problems.

It’s not even just that it’s reliable, bc many trucks will run a long time. But the entire truck has held up. There are no squeaks, no rattles, no peeling paint or loose fixtures or broken knobs or anything.

My dad only drove Chevy and they were all great trucks. He had 225k miles on his last one when he traded it for a new one. All their drivetrains were rock solid, but there would always be squeaks and rattles little things that would break. Like an AC knob would come off or the dashboard would crack or squeak etc.

I’m over 200k miles on my 2016 Tundra. Truck has been nothing but solid. I’ve changed one belt, an alternator, oil and gas. That’s it.

If Toyota would bring back the 5.7 I’d be at a dealer tomorrow.

Have 180k on my 2014 F150 with the 5.0. Changed the starter and have a slight leak on rear main seal. Other than that, no problems whatsoever. Hoping to get at least 300k miles on this one. Got 298k on my wife’s Ford Expedition.

And then I roll by on the 250 and you have to buy a f250 to compensate.

You mean when my transmission went out at 20k on my Chevy truck?

Because they are basically discounting them 25%. Link is to local Fl dealer. Insane discounts to start negotiating from.

Deland FL Ram

Damn. New Laramie here for $45k LINK

Well, that's of course if you qualify for all incentives, which most don't.

I wouldn't buy one of those either.

It's just a good truck.

but its got the most piss poor sound system I've ever heard (or can't hear). My hearing is shot from shooting so the acoustic system of the Tundra annoys the shite out of me.

lesson to the youngsters...wear your ear plugs. Your dad wasn't shitting you when he said "hold your ears".

If you do in fact intend on buying one the only advice I can give, based on knowing people with them, is to buy from Matt Bowers. All of their new and certain used vehicles come with a lifetime powertrain warranty.

The Ram 1500's have the best transmissions in the segment. That isn't even debatable. They ride the best and have the best interior. They have a rambox option. They are also the most reliable overall over the last 10+ years. People can hate all they want. I don't care. They are just ignant like Michael Jackson says. Some people need to get out of their Ford and Chevy bubble.

Also, prices are slashed across the board for all trucks because they are all too damn expensive. It isn't just Ram.

Ram is the biggest slasher. you can't find ford f 150's for 15k-20k off msrp.

I like Rams. I made the thread because there were two different "talk me out of buying this Ram 1500" threads last week.

I’d buy another 5.7 Tundra today if they still made one. I don’t feel like changing out the tranny in a GMC at 85k miles. I legit don’t know what to get next.

Have a 23 Tundra with the hybrid and love it. I loved my v8 but the new motor is pretty bad arse. Had it since Oct. 22 and don't regret buying it one bit. Outside of the dumb price of course.

That’s a very comfortable, nice to drive, brand new 4wd truck for $45k.

But then I found a new 2024 F150 XLT 4WD for $40k.

That’s what happens when there are hundreds on the lot I guess.
