I used to hunt the Aguillard (now Ken Soileau) farm on Gold Dust Loop Rd just south of Bunkie...
many times in the morning on the way to the blind the sky would be black wid ducks and geese...
looked like what you would see in an old Tarzan movie...

They better bring their own water in SWLA
Yep. Didn't teal hunt this year for the first time in years. No water in the marsh.

Birds are shoulder to shoulder west of Houston. We stopped opening up water to save some food for later in the season. They are hammering the ponds that have been roller chopped. Kickoff on Saturday.

What part of ND you hunting? I just finished 5 days up/down Hwy 3 from Rugby to Wishek. Fun way to chase’em.

Farad I leased a blind on one of their properties from 2006-09. Great tract of land. Big roost.

I hunted Leeds ND 24-28 we smashed them 24,25. Did ok in the snow 27th, killed some Mallards on the 28th and when the sun broke I got to witness the great migration they came off those water sheds what looked like the millions gaining altitude heading south.
The guide cancelled all remaining hunts he was booked thru the 10th said that was the earliest he had ever had to shut it down.

I’m in ND now and there are plenty of ducks around, but concentrated around the small amounts of open water. Ducks and geese didn’t start moving till about 10 this morning.

I’m in the TX panhandle, where there was water there were ducks. This front pushed a lot out. It was mostly pins, few gaddys and teal mixed in.
As for Bayou Black lease, still covered up with woodies and teal, few greys and spoons.

Stacked up with big birds after this front on the river in SELA. Bayou Black probably is holding the best numbers in SELA rn though. The numbers are impressive to say the least. Good mix of big ducks and divers.

I can’t wait to see when the aerial survey comes out next week. Guaranteed to be lowest on record for SWLA. I had a buddy that has water on south side of 82 for teal season. He said that now a lot of that is gone and I’m sure this wind is gonna take most the rest.

They’ll tell us it’s going to be a banner year regardless of what they count. Lying arse water bird counters.

We've got'em in ponds and swamps everywhere down here as of this morning with more lighting every hour. Dogs have had to be brought-out on the golf courses today. Buddy down in Santee told me they're flocking into both lakes today. Biggest numbers he's seen in years.
I'm calling my cousin over in West Point (MS) and my brother in Maddox Bay (Arkansas) tonight, to find out what they're seeing over out that way.
