I’m looking to buy a threaded pistol and have been looking at Shadow systems but haven’t really had any experience with them.

I’m limited to Bass Pro or Cabela’s because of credit card points so I can’t just pick anything. Here a the few I have it narrowed down to.

This one is the one I’m leaning towards the most right now.

My brother has the FN 45 tactical and I can shoot it anytime I want so I will get one eventually but wanting something different for the first one I buy.

Mark 23 is out of my budget. Waning to keep it around $1000 to $1,200.

Out of all of those, the VP9 is the best shooting, IMO. My wife has two with the mag release but I went with the VP9b since that’s the release I’m more comfortable with. I have a 320, had glocks, but the Hk is my favorite by far.

Only sig I have is the 1911 Scorpion I have a HK VP9 and love it but it’s not threaded. Didn’t want to leave it off the list because I like it so much?

I own almost all of these and in some cases, multiples of them.
Here is my opinion.
Best gun on the market is the Sig P320 Legion X5. I have had zero issues with it and a great trigger out of the box. I have added some things to it.

Shadow MR918, MR920 and DR920 are in my collection. They are fun. No issues other than a firing pin spring and some light strikes on the MR918

FN FNX 45 is a great gun. Trigger comes gritty out of the box but it was an easy fix. Suppressor height sights are a plus.

Those are my top three for you. All are fine choices.

forgot to add that I just sold my Glock 45 MOS yesterday for no particular reason. It's a Glock...I like them. Dependable guns, lots of aftermarket items you can add. Did not use a suppressor with this one.

This + Apex trigger is better and cheaper than everything you listed. If you must get one from the OP, then the Sig is the easy winner

HK VP9 tactical is a solid gun if you want to spend the money. I love my HK. I also love the paddle mag release. They sell a button version if you don’t want paddle.

If you don’t want to spend money but want a solid option get a Glock 45 or 19x and put a threaded barrel in it. My 19x is still one of my favorite pistols I own despite it being cheaper and a Glock.

Sig is the easy choice. Followed by the HK.

Shadow systems MR920 is my carry gun. I graduated with the CEO, who was the captain of the USMA pistol team and is a hell of a shooter. I also have the M&P and. Several Sigs and Glocks. They are all fine but the Shadow is extremely light and flat shooting. They also offer a big mil/vet discount.

Going to be the a-hole and say none of them, but get a full size 5" Walther PDP and add the Walther threaded barrel to it.

It is the best pistol I've ever shot.

Not considering just getting a threaded barrel and sights for your VP9?

Just asking, I'm certainly not the type to discourage someone from buying another gun

I still have an email directly from him asking if my issue was resolved on my old War Poet. Outstanding customer support from Plano TX. I own three and will buy more as money allows.

I get Visa gift cards from a guy for turning over sales leads to him for places he sales and they expire after 6 months. They start expiring in May so I’m wanting to use them and my Cabela’s points to buy a pistol.

I’ve got a M&P 2.0, H&K VP9, H&K P30L and few others I could buy a threaded barrel for but need to spend the gift cards anyway.

I guess I could buy groceries with them but that shite ain’t no fun Plus when I started getting them I decided it would be for future fun Purchases but didn’t realize the expired so it limits me to about $500 to $1000 purchases before I’m they expire.
