European/English/House sparrows? The ones you see eating french fries in parking lots?

They are pretty good eating.
Eating small birds used to be a big deal in Europe. The smaller the bird you could serve a guest, the wealthier they assumed you were.

Eating humming bird tongues used to be a thing.

They are vicious little mother effers to. They will run off nesting adult Blue birds and kill there hatchlings or eggs over a fairly broad territory. Bluebirders set traps for them and delight in sinking the full traps into their local reservoir.

You should get right on leading that effort. And then get on to these:
Brown Rat
Black Rat
House Mouse
European Starling (this one and the sparrows are thanks to the stupid American Acclimization Society)
Eurasian Collared Dove
...
...
...
And the list goes on and on and on and on covering plants, reptiles, fish, and invertebrates.
I have faith in you. Good luck!
We'll need to start a GoFundMe for shipping costs. Haha

This abomination of a bird is not even a sparrow, despite its common names “English” or “House” sparrow. It is a finch....weaver finch to be precise. Like almost all non-native, introduced plants and animals, it’s introduction has had devastating implications to native bird populations, especially bluebirds and purple martins. If you have a problem with them and want an effective trap, google “Uncle Blaine’s repeating sparrow trap”. Happy trapping/killing!

I bought a new airgun just for them.
