two summers ago I was fishing between elmers island and fourchon, we were catching trout and not a boat around or in sight...and a boat is passing as we flip two trout in the boat and this dude comes off plane and come straight to us.
it was a guide and he sat on his lean post and trolled around while his clients cast right beside us, we continued to catch and they didn't. I asked the guys on the boat if they wanted to fish with me instead...he got the point and left but its shite like this that makes me laugh when you are supposed to be a guide.
another time was in fourchon and catching trout pretty good, dude comes in and literally circles us where we were casting and gets mad at us when we were there first, we laughed because it was a guide and he was screaming and hollering telling his clients we were wrong etc...we left and just shook our head. being I fish there a lot, I just laugh at the stupidity from some people and even guides.

Guides and tournament guys are the only ones I've had issues with plowing up on top of me while I was catching fish. I hate me a frickin redfish tournament and I hate a guided spec boat. Some real weapons grade stupidity going on fricking up my pastime.

Had a charter boat off Pensacola cuss at me for fishing his snapper spot. A mile and a half offshore. I was in a kayak.

That's a lot of Hate there buddy
There is a couple over here that will actually do that with other guides and i always amazes me they can be so stupid. More often it's the guy in a new $80k+ T-top rig with Tx on the side.
Fall of 17 i wrecked the trout erry afternoon in Oct. Cleaned fish and a boat docks, guy tells me i was 3 short of a limit. Told him not that i had my limit, he says well we only counted 12.

Fishing marsh between Leeville and GI once in November. We anchored near cut in the marsh that connected to the bay. Trout were stacked. Catching keepers every cast on artificial and when I say keepers I mean 17-20 inches. Dream scenario for people like us that only get to trout fish 2 or 3 times a year. 3 of us in boat and we've been anchored 15 minutes and we have 20-25 trout in the box and here comes 2 guide boats. They roll up to within casting distance then come off plane. Guy yells out "sorry didn't see yall anchored there" which was basically impossible. They proceed to idle right over where our baits were. This cut was barely 15 yards wide if that big. Trout shut down. Never get them fired up again. I'm a pretty easy going dude and it took everything in me not go crazy as they were idling right down the middle of where we were catching fish.

I was in Gibson wearing the bass out on a point one day and a basshole idled up next to me and asked me to move because he was fishing a tournament and had scouted that spot. I told him he could have it after I finished my limit and he got the flaming redass and plowed away with his motor.
Cant count how many times I've had a boat with one of those fricking deer stands on the front deck cut me off while I was trolling a grass line and blow into the mud fricking it all up.
I hate fishing on the weekend and unfortunately my career dictates I either get out there amongst the frickheads of the fishing world or dont fish

my buddy took his dad's brand new Everglades 243 out with some friends to go chase mangroves. they were fishing under one of the S. Timb rigs catching a few here and there when all of a sudden workers on the rig dumped the entire past week's kitchen trash onto themselves and into the Glades. They said they were covered from head to toe in old pieces of steak, salad dressing, gumbo, milk, eggs, etc... The workers claimed they didn't see them and the boat was unfortunately right where they dump waste every week. either way, pulling back up to his dad's camp was the funniest shite I've ever heard

I was out redfishing one time and saw two boats power poled down on a shoreline. I sat a while and watched them wreck the reds cast after cast. I pulled up further down the shoreline with the trolling motor and, with plenty of distance between me and the other boat, put down the power pole. One of the guys, a guide I later realized, started freaking out and yelling all sorts of stuff at me. It was kind of hard to even understand what he was saying because of the distance between us.
Over an hour later, he left but pulled up to me and cussed me out for fishing the same shoreline as him.

I fish out of a kayak. Had a tower boat show up in Delacroix as I was working down a shoreline. pulled up 100 feet away. Guy in the tower told me to leave as it was private water and I couldn't fish there. I took out my phone, took a picture of his boat, told him "don't worry about weighing in, Imma get you DQ'd." When I finished I drove over to Hopedale Marina, found the TD, showed pic told him what happened, guy got DQ'd. Must have really sucked to drive from Florida to get DQ'd.
same area on a friday afternoon, some tower boat is burning shorelines, tournament that weekend. I'm in a small cut maybe 20' wide STANDING UP IN MY KAYAK and I'm 6'4" tall. Tower boat driver proceeds to run on plane right at me. You could see me from Sweetwater to Reggio Mike's launch. I guess he expected me to move. I didn't. he powers down literally 50 feet from my pushes a bow wave at me, I have to sit down or I'm flipping over. Take out my phone, take a picture of his boat. Tell him "don't bother fishing the tourney I'm gonna make sure you're DQ'd". He yelled something, I said "look i'll be at sweetwater in couple hours with this kayak on a trailer behind my Yukon. come find me as you'll have plenty of time to kill as you're gonna be DQ'd."
Finished fishing, loaded up, drove a few minutes to Sweetwater found the TD, showed him pic and told him what happened, guy was DQ'd. I left my name and number with the TD for the guy if he wanted to reach me. never did, oddly.
F a tournament fisherman, F a tower boat.

Which tournament guys are worse?
Bass, Redfish, or Crappie?

In my experience the deer stand redfish tournament guys are by far the worst

That is hard to believe. I wanted to break some necks this weekend on Toledo Bend.

Man this is a tough one for me to pick a side. I hate me a redfish tournament douche plowing up the marsh, but I hate me a damn paddle fairy blocking up the boat ramp too.
I am conflicted.
